Holy, Holy, Holy

New Creations In Christ Jesus!
Those Made Forever Perfect In His Eyes, Because of the Savior of the World!

Also, I gave them my Sabbath as a sign between us, so they would know that I the Lord made them holy. Ezekiel 20: 12

God is lamenting to the Prophet Ezekiel, to tell Him why God is going to bring changes in His peoples lives.

But it struck me as odd.
That the Sabbath was a sign.
That it was proof that He made us holy.

Like the rainbow is a sign that God will never flood the entire world again, the Sabbath was a sign, first that the Jews were a holy people, made holy by God.

I had never thought of it that way.
Most of us think the Sabbath is something we need to do.
That we are to do God things on the Sabbath, keeping it holy, delighting in the Lord that day.

That we know in this generation we are supposed to go to church, to honor God, keeping the Lord’s day about the Lord.
But I hadn’t ever thought about it’s implications of my worth, or value or status with God.

He is speaking first about the Jewish population, Israel, before an exile and them being scattered around the world.

That them having these holy days, these insights, this deeper connection to The Only God, this time with the Lord, was meant to show them their intimacy, their status, their calling with The Magnificent Creator.
That He was giving them the gift of Holiness by offering them the Sabbath.
That the Sabbath was a proof to all people of their status with God.
That this tiny tribe was given the opportunity to show the whole world, God and what holiness was supposed to be like.
That this is their chosen status, to be holy examples of God’s people, God’s ways.
That all people see and find God.
For the beautiful Jewish Messiah was going to be the Chosen One, The One and Only Savior of all Humanity, through their line of people.

And now for all us, that when we accept Him—Yeshua, Jesus Christ, The Jewish Messiah—we now have this same gift of Holiness.
That we now have the opportunity to rest with the Lord, rest in His ways, enjoying a Holy Day with our Jewish Savior.

That not only do we have access to spend time with Him—a Sabbath day—showing the world we have been made holy by Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, a gift from Him, freely given, but since Jesus sent us His Spirit to live inside us, we get to have a Sabbath everyday.

That His Spirit inside us is a proof that we have been given this holy status too, holy unto the Lord every single day— since we received Him, Jesus.
And that we will remain in this holy status, seen holy before God, being examples to people around us, from the moment we believed in Jesus Christ, until forever, past these bodies expiring, and the new season of real life beginning.

May we know that we know that we know the Sabbath is a gift for us from the Lord, to show us our intimate standing with Him, sharing in his holiness, those who have believed.

May we know that we know that we know for those who have not yet believed in Jesus Christ as Messiah and Savior, today is the day to believe and receive this free gift of standing of holiness before the Only True God.
