Good, Bad, Love
Feasters of God’s Overwhelming Love!
Those Who Can See the Good that God Meant!
The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden and you must not touch it or you will die. Genesis 3: 3
God didn’t say not to touch the fruit from the tree of good and evil.
But that they should not eat it, for when they ate of it, they would know good and evil and die.
Eve added to what God said.
Her addition to God’s words meant she didn’t really know His heart.
She didn’t know God was trying to prevent her and Adam from suffering.
She didn’t know God was trying to prevent them from bringing pain and suffering to all the generations after them.
She had no concept of good and evil.
So she didn’t have any concept of how God truly loved her, for she had never lacked love from God.
For its having the comparisons that we can really know.
It’s like being healthy all the time and not knowing about colds and sicknesses.
For In the colds and sickness, we really begin to appreciate health.
So, She didn’t know that God really loved her and had good for her.
So, she didn’t really know that God was loving her, protecting her with His command, His ways.
Or she wouldn’t have added more to His words, showing her fear in the situation, not understanding God’s heart.
So God is showing us the blessing of this fallen creation season.
That Adam and Eve needed to fail, needed to lead us into the fallenness of creation, that we have the opportunity to truly know and receive love from our God—Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit.
For In the good and bad experiences of this life:
I find out how wonderful my Father God is. For He literally shows up and provides for me.
And the deeper the need, the more powerfully He shows up, the more powerfully I experience His love for me.
I find out How wonderful my Savior Jesus Christ is.
For I have been allowed to see how much He has saved me from and forgiven me for.
I find out How grateful I am for the good gift of the Holy Spirit and how He gives me the amazing wisdom when I need it and super charged energy and joy at the right time, or directions when I am lost.
And mostly that He reconnects me to my Savior, My God and His love knowing I am known, loved, belong and part of a family forever.
It was in knowing the highs and lows of good and evil in the life that I found how much God loved me and I found that I really wanted to love God back.
And it was in that I have been able to read and learn His words, standing on them, not adding anything but saying, yes they are true, He is true.
No matter what life looks like, these words are true.
I’m just going to believe. These words are for my good, because I have seen His goodness.
May we know that we know that we know that though this season of life has highs and lows, pain and joys, all of it is to show us the magnificent God—-Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit—that we would believe and receive all the love they have for us today, that we would follow them today, tomorrow, and into eternity.
May we know that we know that we know as we walk through these Highs and Lows, good and bads here we will find God’s love, leading us to trust everyone of His words to be true and are for blessing us, not needing to add anything in fear but trusting everyone of His good words are to bless us and keep us safe.
