He Speaks Through Us

Those Who Live in Perfect Peace!
Those Who Speak Life!

And when you arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking but the Holy Spirit. Mark 13: 11

I claimed this scripture when in grad school.
We were made to present our research and then we had to defend it.
We had to have practice times in school before we even did the research, so that we would know how to present and defend.
That was a terrifying experience for me.
They made us do this under camera and then watch it back, to critique our speaking skills.

Then we all went away, somewhere, me to South Africa, to conduct our research, write it up, and then come back.

When I arrived back at grad school, when we had to do the real event, the real defense of our research, I prayed this scripture non-stop.
And I was so grateful to find this promise came to pass.
I don’t really recall all that I said during my presentation nor the questions and answers.
What I knew was that God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit had taken over, given me incredible peace and I passed.
Not only did I pass but a man who had been against me for being a Christian when I was at school, attended my defense, asked questions, and God gave a him a change of heart by what I had spoken and the peace that was emitting out of me and my mouth.

It was such a wonderful experience with the Lord.
It’s what He does.
He gives us His words, His peace, His abilities, we His children, that we would glorify Him in all that we do.
For everywhere we go—for me mostly in secular academic institutions across the world—we are testifying of who Jesus is through our love, through our actions, through our speech, that all would want to know Who He is, and Have His Peace and Love in them too.

May we know that we know that we know that Jesus does not leave us orphans, but chooses to live inside us, those who believe in Him, who receive Him as Lord and Savior.

May we know that we know that we know that Jesus, in the form of the Holy Spirit, the helper, helps us speak, speaks through us, helps us find the right words, that those around us would believe too, that they see Him through us, hear Him through us, and believe in Him through us.
