Extra Meaning!
Those Who Ask And Receive, Those Who Seek And Find, Those Who Knock and The Door Is Opened!
Those Who Learn That Everyone Who Calls On The Name Of the Lord Shall Be Saved!
Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around. She was twelve years old. Mark 5: 41
In this story Jesus comes to a Jewish leader’s house.
He was asked, actually begged, to come.
That this Jewish man’s daughter would be healed.
The girl that is healed is 12 in this story.
Telling us she is 12 seems like an extra not needed fact.
And every time we see something that seems extra in the story it is there to show us a deeper meaning.
She is a daughter of a Jewish man.
The Jewish people being made up of 12 Tribes.
This Jewish man is pleading for His daughter to be saved.
And the leader of 12 Jewish men comes and saves her.
The daughter is foreshadowing Jerusalem.
For Jerusalem is called daughter Jerusalem by God all throughout scriptures.
It is the epicenter of the Promised Land.
The Promised Land for the 12 Tribes of Israel.
The City of the Great King, God’s King who leads the 12 Tribes of Israel and then 12 Disciples.
This story is to show us that in some future date, that Israel is going to beg the Messiah-God’s Leader of the 12 Tribes-to come and save them.
That the Jewish people are going to come beg the Messiah to heal Jerusalem.
We believers can know this from the book of Revelation, where the end times are going to center on destruction of Jerusalem.
That Jerusalem itself will be consumed with the Spirit of Babylon, paganism.
And that the Jewish people will call out to This One True Savior of the World-Jesus-at this time.
And He will come and save them, bringing them healing.
That Jerusalem will be the center of a Heavenly War that the Messiah will conquer.
That He will destroy the enemies of all those who believe in the One True God.
Those who have brought eternal death-paganism-to His daughter, Jerusalem.
This story also shows us that the 12 Jewish men that follow the Jesus Messiah in this time period would bring healing to Israel, healing to Jerusalem.
That they would be leaders of the Truth that heals people, for all time.
These are the disciples of Jesus Christ.
They walked around first in Jerusalem, bringing truth that heals, and healing people from all sickness, diseases and oppression.
That they would not only bring people back to physical life but bring people truth of Jesus Christ that brings people the eternal spiritual life from God.
And of course this speaks of that Jesus, the Messiah offered the 12 Tribes, Israel, healing directly and intimately through daughter Jerusalem, when He walked around them.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus has never given up on His brothers and sisters, the 12 Tribes, the Jewish People.
May we know that we know that we know He offered them eternal life back then, today, and will come back when called upon to offer them eternal life again, that all His family come into His Kingdom of life, of freedom, of healing.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus offers all people this healing, today, now and forever, that we can just receive by believing in Him and His works, and asking Him to heal us.
