Eyes That See!!!
Those Who Eyes Are Healthy Focused On The Light From Above!
Those Whose Eyes Are Opened To Behold The Wondrous Things Out Of Your Law!
Immediately something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes and he could see again. Acts 9: 18
This is part of the apostle Paul’s conversion process.
Where He became Paul from Saul.
This is where He became a follower of Jesus.
When Jesus encountered him, Saul/Paul went physically blind.
But what this was revealing to Saul/Paul that he was really spiritually blind.
Spiritually blind to the truth.
Spirtually blind to what he was doing.
Spiritually blind to who God was and is.
Jesus had Saul/Paul follow him blindly for three days.
He waited for Jesus’s direction.
Then Jesus brought him healing.
Then Jesus brought him new understanding.
Then Jesus brought him the truth that he was missing.
Along with his new mission.
It is actually what Jesus does for all people.
For Jesus came to make the blind see!
Paul, who was still Saul at the time, was being prayed over by Ananias.
Ananias was aleady a follower of Jesus.
And this is when the scales fell off Saul/Paul's eyes.
Scales that had covered his eyes.
Scales that had him blinded to the truth of Jesus.
Scales that make us think of a snake.
Scales that make us think of sin.
For Adam and Eve were led into sin by a snake in the garden of Eden.
So God is showing us, that when we receive Jesus as Lord, as Saul/Paul did when Ananias prayed over him, we are set free from sin.
That our eyes are then opened to the truth of God, Jesus and all that they are and will be.
That our eyes are then opened to the truth of who we used to be and who we now want to be.
That our eyes are then opened to the truth that the plans and the ways of Jesus are good, and good for us.
May we know that we know that we know if we have not accepted the truth of Jesus Christ as Lord, that if we ask Jesus to come into our hearts, He will remove the scales from our eyes, and open our hearts, minds, and eyes to His beautiful truths.
May we know that we know that we know if we- just like Saul/Paul follow Jesus with blind faith in the beginning- it will lead Jesus to open up our eyes to more than we ever hoped for, or could even understand before.
May we know that we know that we know when our eyes are opened to this truth, the only truth, the eternal truth, we become part of an eternal family, the Kingdom of God forever, where we are led by King Jesus, through this and into the next, where death and disease, pain and suffering have been wiped away, but where joy, peace, completeness, and new adventures will consume every moment of every day.
