A Future, A Hope,
Those Who are Headed to the Eternal Kingdom Of Life!
Those Who Will Walk on Streets of Gold, Where Death No Longer Exists, And Every Tear Has Been Wiped Away!!!
Surrounding the throne were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. Revelation 4: 4
Jesus tells Peter in Mathew 19 that Peter and the other apostles are going to sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel.
They were the first to believe in Jesus.
They were the first to follow Him.
And after spending the night in prayer, Jesus gave them their special designations.
That they were being called to lead the beginnings of the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation.
They left everything to do this.
They left their previous purposes.
They left their jobs.
They left their stable income.
They left their normal lives.
Most ended up leaving their local homes to follow Jesus everywhere.
So when Peter asked Jesus what they would get for having given up everything to follow Him, He told them.
Jesus told them they were going to be leaders for all eternity.
That they were going to blessed, sitting around His throne, on their own thrones, with crowns of gold on their heads, too.
Because Jesus knows that following Him, that giving up everything in this short life, can be hard, really hard to do.
So He told of them of the wonders that were to come for them.
And He even let John the Apostle, see this promise come to pass in the vision that Jesus gave Him on the island of Patmos, in the scripture above.
Peter and the Apostles walked with Jesus on the earth.
They saw miracle after miracle after miracle.
They sat with Him.
They ate with Him.
They heard directly from His mouth.
They tasted the bread and fish multiplied from Heaven.
So how much more, that those of us who have walked in faith to Him, giving up everything to follow Him, be blessed in eternity with Him, when we did not see Him in the natural.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus reveals His good plans for all of us throughout the pages of the Bible.
May we know that we know that we know He outlines so much good yet to come for those who believe, confirmed in the book of Revelation.
May we know that we know that we know what we give up in the life, cannot compare to all the good that is promised for us in eternity with our Savior.
