Garment of Hair-Belt of Leather

Those Who Praise the Name of God Forever and Ever!!
Those Who Believe In the One Who Reveals Deep and Hidden Things!!

They replied he had a garment of hair and leather belt around his waist. 2 Kings 1: 8

This scripture is speaking of Elijah the Prophet.
He walked around in garment of animal hair, like a cow throw rug covering him
And He had a leather belt-animal hide-that kept this garment on his body.
He was called to lead people back to the One True God.
He called down a drought for three years.
Then he went missing in the sight of His people.
But then at the end of three years, he showed up, coming back to show the power and authority of God to all the lost Israelites.

While this man lived and did amazing things for God in this earth, his life and ministry also served to show us, the Jewish Prophet, the Messiah to come.

For first he was a prophet as the Messiah Was and Is.
He spoke the words of God on earth.
His job was to point all people back to God, to God’s ways.
As was and did the Messiah.

He walked around in animal skins, a garment of animal hair wrapped with a belt made of animal hide.
So he was literally covered in an animal sacrifice.
Because this was to show all people that the true prophet to come, the Messiah, would be sacrificed, like the animals at the temple.
That His life would be a sacrifice.
That He Himself, His body, would be sacrificed at the temple, like the animals that were sacrificed to wash sins off people in the sight of God.
Only this time, it would wash all peoples sins away forever.
Giving all humans forgiveness for our fallen nature, given to us by Adam and Eve’s decision in Eden.

Elijah performed miracles over creation for three years.
For his prayer stopped the rain.
He was fed by a miraculous jug of oil and flour that never ran out.

The Messiah had power over water to walk on it and command the wind and waves to cease.
The Messiah fed people with tiny supplies that miraculously reproduced with thousands being fed.
He brought people back to life and after being sacrificed, He Himself came back to life showing the proof of power over all, over death and life revealing to everyone the One True God.

Elijah’s got to call down a miracle, of fire from Heaven that showed out God’s power over all of creation, over the soil, over the rocks, over the animals, over the grass and over the water, speaking boldly for God our Father, leading all people of that time to believe in Him-God.
The Messiah’s miracle of coming back to life, showed God’s power over all creation to bring life again to the dead.
The Messiah then sending people His Spirit that looked like fire.
His Perfect Immortal Sound Mind Spirit to the world that we would see Him, receive Him, be led to the One True God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth.
His Spirit that gave people power over creation, to speak healing over the sick, to speak His words, to be His witnesses, to testify of God’s wonders that lead all people back to the One True God, the Messiah Jesus Christ, who made the way for us to belong with Him and live forever in His eternal Kingdom of Life.
His Spirit that calls all people to this truth, of the Messiah, God.

May we know that we know that we know as we read through the Bible we can see Jesus Christ the Messiah on every page, see His purpose for mankind to be the one perfect sacrificial prophet, that takes away the sins of mankind, leading the world to overcome and be returned to the One True God and His Kingdom forever.

May we know that we know that we know the reason the Bible is full of allegory, and symbolism of the Messiah-Yeshua-Jesus Christ on every single page, through every detail, is that we would all know that we know that we know receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way, the only way, yes indeed the only way to receive eternal life in the Kingdom of God and live forever.

May we know that we know that we know if we simply call on Jesus Christ, asking Him to be our Lord, He will take us at our word, and then we are eternally saved, our Spirits immediately transferred into eternal citizens in the Kingdom of God forever.
