Gold Inside!

Chosen Vessels of the Lord!!
Called, Empowered, Seen, and Needed!

But so we don’t cause offense go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch, open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for your tax and mine. Matthew 17: 27

Do you ever read this and ask yourself why?
Why the fish?
Why did Peter have to go fishing for the coin?
This kept rolling over my mind.
And then I remembered.

Jesus also told Peter that He was going to fish for people now.
That this was indeed an allegory for people.

First its Unexpected provision.
That God can provide in any and every way for our needs.
That we can’t judge a person by the way they look.
They can be chosen vessels of Lord carrying great treasure.

Peter and everyone who follows Jesus is called to fish for people, leading everyone and anyone to Jesus.
And that hidden inside people who believe is their faith, that is more precious than gold, though it’s refined by fire.

That now that Peter was called to fish for people, he got to see the treasure that is hidden in believers.
For Jesus tells us a parable that shows us that our faith is like bags of gold, that He gives us, to go forth and do all that He has called us to do for His Kingdom.

That we may look like an ordinary common fish on the outside, but inside us, is a treasure greater than Solomon’s mines, a faith refined, that empowers us to do all that God called us to do.
That God knows and sees this great treasure hidden inside of us, even if we dont.

And as we keep walking in faith, toward Him and all that He has called us to do, we keep growing these bags of gold for Jesus, that will reap us heavy rewards when we see Him face to face.

May we know that we know that we know, we hold more value that we can possibly imagine.

May we know that we know that we know God sees the treasure hidden inside us.

May we know that we know that we know, we are growing these rewards, this gold inside, no matter what we are seeing on the outside and it will be used for God’s glory.
