Gratitude to Jesus!
Not Guilty Children of God!
Sealed Sons and Daughters Under Christ!
But I tell you that everyone will have to give an account on the day of judgement for every empty word they have spoken. Matthew 12: 36
Jesus is letting us know the standard we are held against.
That without having received His payment for our sins, we will beheld accountable for every word we have spoken.
Later He says that by our words will be acquitted or by our words we will be condemned.
That means those of us who have called upon Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, will be acquitted.
That the enemy who walks around like a roaring lion, that accuses us night and day before God, has his mouth shut.
Like Daniel, God will keep his mouth shut because we are already found innocent, those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
So now this verse can serve as an opportunity for us, an opportunity for gratitude to Jesus.
That every time we fail to speak words of love to ourselves or to anyone else, we can thank Jesus that He already paid for our wrong words at the cross, that we are already acquitted for every wrong statement, and the enemy can’t say anything since we are now innocent under Jesus’s blood.
May we know that we know that we know when we fail in speech, we can turn it around to gratitude to Jesus for what He paid for, for us already.
