His Choice!

Those Who Will Look To Him and Get Their Food In Due Season!
Those Who Find His Finished Work!!

So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. Carrying His own cross, He went out to the place of the skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). John 19: 17

Pilate finally gave in to the crowd.
The Soldiers then took charge of Jesus.
And then they had Him carry His cross.

Jesus was granted authority over all people.
We see this statement in John 17.
That Jesus states this specifically.
That He has power over all people.

So Jesus has not only allowed the people to ask for His death, but He had willed it.
So Jesus has not only allowed Pilate to condemn Him, but He had willed it.
So Jesus has not only allowed the soldiers to have Him carry this cross, but He Had willed it.

The Bible says His own cross.
Because only Jesus could carry this cross.

Meaning only He could bear this weight.
Meaning only He could pay this price.
Meaning only He was perfect enough to be the one to offer Himself as sacrifice.
Meaning only He was strong enough to be able to choose to do this.
Meaning only He was surrendered enough to be willing to make this happen.
Meaning only He was loving enough to want to do this.

Because it really wasn’t His cross.
It was Adam and Eve’s cross.
It was Abraham and Sarah’s cross.
It was David And Saul’s cross.
It was Moses and Aaron’s cross.
It was all mankind’s cross-every person, every generation, every nation.

Because we were all in need of healing.
Because we were all in need of new heart.
Because we were all in need of a new mind.
Because we were all in need of a new spirit that gives us all three.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus is the all powerful God of the universe who chose His own cross, so that we didn’t have to.

May we know that we know that we know once we really know what He did, we can’t not receive His love and mercy.

May we know that we know that we know because Jesus did this, we who receive this free offering of His life for ours, we receive His Spirit of wisdom and love and healing and life for all time.
