Holy Fire!
Those Who Stand Purified!
Holders of a Gift More Precious Than All the Gold That Has Ever Existed!
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3: 11
The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ.
He is the Spirit of Truth.
And He comes to us and fills us with Himself.
So when we are baptized with the Holy Spirit, we have received Jesus Christ, His presence, His indwelling, Him.
But Why did the John the Baptist tell us we were getting fire too?
For we are all trying to avoid the fire of eternity.
So why would God give us fire too?
Our faith is more precious than gold though it’s refined by fire.
For fire refines things.
The Holy Spirit is pure God, pure love, pure holiness.
So He brings purification, refining us, burning off, out of us, the sinful nature we were born with.
The tongue of fire that came down at Pentecost, refined the tongue of the Apostles, that they could speak God’s words.
That Isaiah had to have his lips refined by a coal from God’s fire to be able to speak in His presence.
Because His lips needed to be refined, the sinfulness of the world removed from His lips.
That Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego went into fiery furnace, but since Jesus was walking around with them, the only thing that was removed from them, was the very thing that was binding them.
And this fire, it removed the ropes binding their hands, so when they left the fire, their hands unbound, now refined, they moved forward to use their hands, in their new roles for the Kingdom of God.
So as long we have Jesus Christ, the fires in this life won’t harm us, only refine us to be more like Jesus, like our Father in Heaven, being able to accomplish everything He called us to do, in this life that brings rewards now, but also eternal rewards.
May we know that we know that we know that we may get dosed with Holy fire here and now, but because of Jesus in us, on us, with us, we aren’t burned. We are just made more beautiful, more pure, more clean, more able to look like our Father, act like our Father, speak and walk like our Father.
May we know that we know that we know that if we have not yet received Jesus Christ as the Messiah, our Lord and Savior, the One who saves us from the eternal fire, that we can receive Him today, now and forever by just asking Him into our hearts.
