Leaving Everything and Yet Gaining Everything Forever!

Those Who Now See!
Those Who Are Building Treasures In Heaven!!

So they pulled their boats on shore, left everything and followed Him. Luke 5: 11

Simon, who became Peter, and Andrew, James and John, all left their fishing boats one morning and followed Jesus.

That was not their plan that day.

They had set out the night before like they did normally, to catch fish.

Fishing was their career.
Fishing their livelihood.
Fishing was not only how they made their living, it was their identity.

And upon receiving their greatest catch of fish, they left everything and followed Jesus.

You would think that upon greatest their greatest earthly reward so far, they would go celebrate, pay bills, dance in the streets.

But instead, they were in awe and were humbled and decided to leave everything they ever knew, and follow Jesus the Messiah.

Because that unexpected day, they discovered, the One Who Moves Fish Into Nets.

They discovered, the One Who can Take Care of All Their Needs.

They discovered the Master of The Universe, the Creator, The Maker of the Heavens and the Earth, and The Sea Below, was standing in front of them.

They discovered the One Who Holds the Wisdom of All the Ages and Who Can Do All Things.

So they surrendered their earthly plans and followed the Messiah to their higher callings to fish for people.

May we know that we know that we know, Jesus calls us with His kindness, that we would see Him and follow too.

May we know that we know that we know, when we really see who Jesus is, we will follow, we run after, we will seek to be with, and stay with Jesus, in His presence, going where He goes, staying where He stays, too.

May we know that we know that we know, like the Apostles, that no earthly treasure can compare to the One Who Made All the Treasures we seek.
