No Fear He is Here
Those who Walk in Confidence Today That Their Heavenly Father Provides.
Those Who Never Have to Live in Fear Again!
The Lord has taken away your punishment, He has turned back your enemy. The Lord, King of Israel is with you, never again will you fear any harm. Zephaniah 3: 15
Every scripture has multiple applications.
This wonderful encouraging scripture has applications for at least three seasons.
First, the people the prophet Zephaniah was speaking to directly at the time, Israel.
They were about to go through an exile, because they had not been following the Only God, which was their job, to follow and teach all people to follow the Only true God.
So Zephaniah is letting them know that after they go through that trouble, they will be redeemed and no longer have any harm come to them.
He was speaking of a day in the future for them after the 70 years of exile in Babylon.
Which came to pass.
Their complete restoration.
Secondly, He was speaking to people today, those of us reading this in the Bible.
That after we go through some challenges we will be healed, set free, seeing that God indeed did come down and fight our battles, and that we weren’t and won’t be harmed any more.
Because we learn through our trials now, that the Maker of Heaven and Earth comes through for us, and comes down and fights for us, in this life, in the season of fallen creation.
Like Shadrach and Meshach and Abednego saved through the firey furnaces, coming out better than we were before.
For Its how we know He is faithful and that we can trust what He promises is true for eternity.
For He knows we need a present God today, so that we can get to and believe for eternity.
Thirdly, He is speaking to all people of the coming Messiah and what He will do for all people, for eternity with Him.
Because Jesus the Messiah came down to take away our punishment for sinful nature, turning back the enemy of satan from our lives, and his oppression, that we would be free today and forever. And that gives us eternity with God our Father and our Messiah, filled with the immortal Holy Spirit, transporting us into the Kingdom of God, where we will live, reign and never fear harm of sickness, death, for they won’t exist there.
May we know that we know that we know every word in the Bible is true and applies to us today and tomorrow.
May we know that we know that we know we have a present God who wants us to choose eternity with Him, so shows us who He is today, coming down to fight our battles and reveal His character to us.
May we know that we know that we know we have nothing to fear, that all punishment has been taken away by Jesus, that He is with us, now, today and forever.
