Those Who Have Ears That Hear!
Those Who Ask And Receive!
Jesus called His twelve disciples to Him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Matthew 10: 1
This was the 12 disciples going to Israel.
They healed the sick.
They set people free.
They were specifically told not to go the Gentiles.
Then Jesus sends out 72 others to every town and place.
They healed the sick.
They set people free.
They were sent to both Jew and Gentile.
It was to show us how the Kingdom of Jesus was going to spread.
First to the Jews.
Then to the Gentiles.
That all people were going to be sought.
That all people were going to be offered healing.
That all people were going to be offered freedom.
That Jesus sending people to the Jews first was because of their calling.
That they were always called to be the Priests of the Lord.
That the whole people group was called to lead the world to Jesus.
They did.
For all the apostles/the 12 disciples were Jewish.
That’s why Paul in Acts, always went to the Jews first.
They were called to join the team of evangelists, preachers, teachers.
But then God made a way.
He opened the door for Gentiles to evangelize, preach, and teach.
We see this through Cornelius in Acts 10.
That this Roman leader, His family and friends, were also given the same anointing as the Apostles.
And this also foreshadows a season to come.
May we know that we know that we know every person is called and offered Jesus’s Kingdom.
May we know that we know that we know every person is offered and can ask for healing and freedom.
May we know that we know that we know every person is called to then evangelize, preach and teach these truths.
