Those Who Find The One Who Is Good To All And Has Compassion On All He Has!
Those Who Receive The One Who Opens His Hands And Satisfies The Desires Of Every Living Thing!
The priest shall bring it to the altar, wring off the head and burn it on the altar; its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar. Leviticus 1: 15
This is what God commands of a burnt offering.
That either they bring a bull/cow or sheep/goat or a doves/pigeons.
This is what is required on how to offer the doves and pigeons.
Notice I said they.
That they had to bring this offering.
This was required for the Israelites.
We do too but not in the same way.
It is one of the five offerings God required.
Burnt offering, grain offering, fellowship offering, sin offering, guilt offering.
Surrendered/humbled, perfection/truth, love/coming close, forgiveness, payment.
All of this foreshadows Jesus.
All of these offerings foreshadowed what He offered for us.
All of these offerings foreshadowed what we needed to be redeemed from our Adam and Eve hearts.
That this burnt offering is symbolic of our faith refined in the fire.
Our faith in Him, our willingness to surrender.
To surrender to His offering of Jesus.
To surrender to His only solution and entrance into His Kingdom.
To surrender to His words over what we feel.
To surrender to His ways.
To surrender in bad circumstances trusting He is working for our good, that He is still good.
Jesus did this.
Jesus portrayed this surrender.
Jesus humbled Himself to be human.
Jesus surrendered His thoughts, His emotions.
Jesus surrendered to this burning, refining of His flesh.
Jesus surrendered them unto death.
Jesus surrendered all His blood on the altar.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus completed these offering for us, so that we no longer have to go to a temple and make these offerings this way.
May we know that we know that we know we just receive what Jesus did —these completed offerings—which gives us entrance into His Kingdom.
May we know that we know that we know we just receive these offerings by asking Him into our hearts, to be our God, to be our Lord.
