He said to them, how foolish you are and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken. Luke 24: 25
Jesus had just risen from the grave.
And He started walking with two of His disciples.
But they didn’t recognize Him yet.
Scripture says that they were actually being kept from recognizing it was Him.
He was first explaining who He was through the scriptures to them.
Then,,, they were allowed to see Him in the natural.
God. Jesus did this for all of us to follow.
That He-Jesus-will actually reveal Himself to us through His words, His scriptures.
Because there are more people living now and since then, that ever, had the chance to literally walk with Jesus. in the flesh.
He was showing us the way to see Him.
He was showing us the way to find Him.
He was showing us the way to come to know Him.
He was showing us the way to love Him.
He was showing us the way that we would believe and receive Him.
By reading scripture.
By seeing Him through what the prophets had spoken about Him.
All that the prophets spoke about Him, was really Him speaking through them.
And His words have power.
His words spoke creation into being.
His words healed the sick.
His words brought people back to life.
His words bring us life.
His words fill us with His love and wisdom for today.
His words bring us physical healing here, today, now.
And His words bring us eternal healing, entrance into His Kingdom, wisdom on how to get there and why we would even want to go.
May we know that we know that we know the joy, the wisdom, and the healing that we will receive, just by reading His words.
May we know that we know that we know if we have found this treasure hidden in a field, that we have this opportunity to share the greatest blessing to everyone near and far today and tomorrow as much as possible.
May we know that we that we know the more we know the treasure we have found by reading His words, absorbing every single dot and letter to the very marrow, we will be filled to the brim of His love, with His wisdom, bubbling over, completely unable to not share this delicious eternal underserved unfathomable non-returnable irreversible gift from the Maker of Heaven and Earth, who suffered to give us His Kingdom forever and ever.
