Silence Speaks

Those Whose Faith Is More Precious Than Gold Though It’s Refined By Fire!!
Those Who Continue To Draw Near To Him, Believing He Exists, For We Will Be Rewarded By Seeking Him!!

He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. 1 Samuel 28: 7

This is written about Saul the first King of Israel.
He is symbolic of the people of Israel.
That at the beginning of time and at the beginning of their kingdom that they would not follow the one true God.
That Saul was already in disobedience against God.
That when Saul was inquiring of the Lord, God was silent.

So, he went and sought a witch instead.
A witch that would seek out the recently deceased prophet Samuel.
Samuel who had been God’s spokesperson for Saul during his life.

First this is a foreshadowing of the seasons for Israel.
That when Jesus was first offered, their first real King, they would turn away from Him.
That there will be season of silence to the people of Israel.

But then we see that David becomes King.
And David is always seeking after the One True God.
So it’s the second time that Jesus is offered to the people of Israel that the whole Kingdom will follow in whole-hearted devotion to the One True God.
This will take place in the tribulation.
Where they then become the shepherds-leading people to the One True Savior-that they were always called to be.

But what about believers today!
For all people, Jew and Gentile are offered Jesus individually in this season of time.
What does it mean for us that God was silent to Saul in this season- for all people and our relationship with God.

I’ve been a believer since I was 7 years old.
When God moved me back to the land of my ancestors, me walking in obedience He went strangely silent.

I had been talking to God all my life and all the sudden He was quiet.
I could feel Him near and yet He said nothing.
I would cry out and nothing.
He was teaching me something ever so great.
That I needed to learn to stand on His words, from scripture.
That I couldn’t live off experiences anymore.
That I needed to learn how to stand on His words, and His words alone.
He was growing me up.

It was terrifying.
It was ever so hated by me.
I had no idea what was going on.
And yet it was one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Because it gave me this ministry!!!
It’s why I can expound and teach such deep truths,
Understanding the Bible in way I couldn’t have imagined.
Which has only served to create in me such a deep deep love and understanding of my Savior.
His ways, His plans, His goodness, His faithfulness, His power.
This season served to increase my faith into daring boldness.
This season has grown my trust in God, to heights I can’t even find the words to communicate.

And I cannot begin to tell how much overflowing Victoria falls inundation of gratitude this has produced in me for Him, for His ways.

May we know that we know that we know seasons of silence from God has a purpose.

May we know that we know that we know God is always speaking to us, teaching us something, even in the silence, with silence.

May we know that we know that we know God is always good and always doing good for us.
