The Moment!!!
Those Who Love Instant Gratification!!!
Those Who Find Their Forever Home!!
Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading. John 6: 21
For years I have read this and thought, how cool.
Jesus gets in the boat and they who had been struggling all night long immediately get to their destination.
That when Jesus gets in the boat, they just appear at their destination.
No more struggling.
No more rowing.
Arriving just where they wanted to be.
The place on land, the place they wanted to go.
All because of His presence joining them in the boat, on their journey.
I have always thought about this in the natural.
Getting to places like they did in star trek, beam me up.
How cool it was that they were essentially teleported to their end destination.
But today this hit me differently.
I realized this was Jesus telling us, the moment we receive Him as Lord and Savior, we get to our destination in the spiritual and the eternal, immediately, at that moment!
That the moment we receive Him as Lord and Savior we have entered our Forever Promised Land.
That the moment we receive Him as Lord and Savior we are immediately transported to our eternal destination.
That the moment we receive Him as Lord and Savior we are immediately saved, made new, immediately, now part of the Kingdom of God.
That we are already living in this eternal destination and our future is set.
That we will see this physical kingdom appear, completely in front of our eyes, but until that day, that the moment we believed in and received Jesus as our Lord, we entered this supernatural Kingdom.
That those who have believed are already at our end destination of our souls, the Restored Promised Land of Eden, in our Spirits where we never die but live forever in God’s Presence of love, joy, peace, wisdom and new adventures.
May we know that we know that we know the moment we believe and receive Jesus Christ as Lord, is the moment we immediately arrived at our forever destination, too.
May we know that we know that we know the peace and joy that should bring each and every one of us, knowing we are forever saved, forever belong, forever sealed for the Courts of God.
May we know that we know that we know the fire that should bring us to live boldly for the Lord, telling everyone and anyone about this treasure of security of life guaranteed, in the Kingdom that will never perish or fade, led by the good good shepherd who loves us to a thousand generations.
