The Smell of Holiness
Those Who Leave Their Wilderness Covered in A Holy Perfume!!
Children Clothed With a Heavenly Aroma!!
Do not make any incense with this formula for yourselves; consider it holy to the Lord. Exodus 31: 37
God called Moses to have the people take a special blend of fragrant spices.
One of the ingredients is frankincense, pure frankincense.
Which alludes to Jesus.
For He was offered frankincense from the wise men who came to honor Him for His role as Priest of God.
That He would be the one who would present sacrifices to God.
And He did, Himself.
All through-out my study in Leviticus, the offerings, the sacrifices, God calls them, a pleasing aroma.
That He enjoys the smells of the sacrifices to Him.
That He enjoys the smells, the aroma, of people’s obedience to Him.
That, that—obedience—is the pleasing, the sweet smell, our sacrifice.
All of the sacrifices, that were offered in the temple, were a precursor of the ultimate, only sacrifice that actually mattered, Jesus’s.
Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross is the real pleasing aroma, that God was referring to.
For His sacrifice on the cross, offered all people the ability to receive forever healing, forever forgiveness, forever a new heart and new spirit that gave us peace with God our Father and gave us Jesus’s perfect obedience record as ours.
So Frankincense, the incense reminds us of Jesus and His sacrifice, His obedience, His offering, the sweet smell that God loves.
So this is the most holy, the holy to the Lord.
Because it refers to Jesus, His sacrifice, His offering that allows all people who believe, who receive this sacrifice, life with God, in God’s Kingdom.
The perfect payment for our diseased hearts from Eden.
The only true Holy offering, because he is was the only true pure Holy One that walked this earth.
May we know that we know that we know everything in the Bible testifies of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for humankind.
May we know that we know that we know God does this, that no one, no one, yes, no one miss out on receiving His Son as Lord and Savior and Live Forever.
May we know that we know that we know all the work is done, the sacrifice has been made, all we must do now is receive this fragrant offering, this pleasing aroma, this perfect holy offering from Jesus Christ by speaking with our mouths and believing with our hearts.
