The Sum of the Law-Receiving and Loving

Those Who Ask and Receive!!
Those Who Seek and Find!!
Those Who Knock and See Doors Open!!

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the law and the prophets. Matthew 7: 12

This statement comes right after Jesus’s promises for provision for us.
That we will receive, we will find and doors will be opened.

He promises that we, being evil, know how to bless, love, cover our children with love and presents and good things.

So how much more will our Father of love, cover us with good things, blessings, things we need, even things we want.

But the next statement is about us being good to others. It seems out of place or like the start of another section.

But the Holy Spirit is a perfect writer.

What is He showing us, that in receiving the good things from God, we are actually empowered to go and be a blessing, to be love, to be kind to others.

For He is taking care of our needs.
For He is opening up the pathways.
For He is showering down His love and His mercy and His kindness.
For He is being our Supply, our Provision, our Guidance, our Helper.

And in that, in the receiving from Him, we receive the freedom, the knowing that we are taking care of.

It releases us to live in peace and then love on, taking care of others.

May we know that we know that we know, it’s in the receiving from our Savior, from our Father, we are empowered to be good to others, set free to live in the fullness of blessing others around us, since we are already being taken care of by Him.
