The Voice
Those of Those Who Know the Voice of Their Shepherd!!
Those Who Heard and Are Full of Faith!!
The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. Psalm 29: 4-5
David is simply praising the Lord for His incredible unfathomable power.
And how interesting is it that He speaks of God’s voice.
As a human would naturally think to point out power in some body part, like arms or legs.
But David mentions the Voice of God for a reason.
Most people have not heard the audible voice of God open up Heaven and speak to them directly from the sky.
When people did, fear arose in them so greatly, they would throw themselves down on the ground because it was so pure and powerful.
So God provided a way for us to hear His powerful earth shattering Voice, that we would receive His love.
We can hear the voice of God through Jesus Christ, God with us.
Who was and is the Word of God, God’s Voice going throughout every nook and cranny of this world to cover it was His truth.
He was the Voice, the Word of God that spoke all of creation into being.
He was the Voice, the Word of God that spoke to Moses through the burning bush and at the top of Mount Sinai.
He was the Voice, the Word of God, that came to make Egypt let His people go.
He was the Voice, the Word of God, that spoke to the Israelites through the Pillar of Fire and Cloud of Smoke keeping them safe on their journey and providing for them.
His Voice, His Word, overcame the Roman Empire.
His Voice, His Word, overcame the Wind and the Waves.
His Voice, His Word, overcame leprosy, sickness, paralysis, fevers, unclean spirits, blindness, deafness, and muteness.
His Voice, His Word, overcame death, hell and the grave.
His Voice, His Word, overcame every minion of the evil world system and the dark leader and disarmed them publicly forever.
His Voice, His Word, overcame the oppression in our lives, that had been holding us hostage, bringing us in the Kingdom of God, into the Kingdom of Light, the eternal blessed home for us who believe.
May we know that we know that we know, God’s voice, Jesus, the Word, can and does overcome every and any obstacle in this life and this world for us.
May we know that we know that we know nothing can stop His Voice, His Word reaching us and saving us, and all those we love.
