This Is The Lord’s Doing!

Those Who Seek First His Kingdom And Everything Will Be Added To Them!!
Those Who Build Their Treasure In Heaven Where No Thief Comes Near And No Moth Destroys!

This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers the Israelites. Go home, every one of you for this is my doing. So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered. 1 Kings 12: 24

King David’s grandson, King Rehoboam lost most of his kingdom in a day.
He had spoken harshly to his people.
They had asked for mercy but he denied them.
So they left in rebellion.

He decided he was going to lead an army to recapture them.
But then God stopped him.
God spoke to him.
God gave him wisdom.
That God Himself was doing this.
That they would actually be fighting against God.

God used Rehoboam’s decision to bring out what God had already planned.
Because God was foreshadowing the future of Israel.
That the people of Israel would be in rebellion against the House of David.
That this was foreshadowing they only a small portion of the Hebrews would receive and believe in the Messiah—who came through David’s line—when He came.

That Rehoboam’s life was getting to be an example of what was to come.
That we who saw it later, after it came to pass, would see God’s brilliant ability to show us, to tell us, what is going to happen before it happens, so we know that we know that we know He is God!

And so we would have confidence in our situations.
For this serves to show all people that God is still in control when or if we have cutbacks, or some loss for a season.
That God is not blind.
That God is not gone from this situation.
But that God is actually orchestrating it.
That It reveals to us that there is a greater purpose in what God is doing in our lives and with those around us.

May we know that we know that we know everything written in the Bible is meant to reveal to us God and His ways, that we would see Him and believe He is who He says He is.

May we know that we know that we know God’s plan for the people of Israel, Jewish people, Hebrews, spans the width of time, has never ended and it going to show out in wonderful ways where Jesus Himself calls them all back to His house, redeeming all their nation in the season of the tribulation.

And May we know that we know that we know if we are suffering some version of loss, people leaving our lives, that we can trust that God is in control and working out His plan in our lives, that is bigger than we can see right now, that might be serving some great eternal example for those around us, or for those to come after us, leading them to see the One true God, and believe too.
