This Season
Those Who Believe and Receive Eternal Life!
Those Who Choose Life!
Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, I find no pleasure in them. Ecclesiastics 12: 1
Eden means pleasure.
For all of us who believe in Jesus Christ, we are headed to a Redeemed Eden-Eternity with God, Jesus our Savior.
So Solomon isn’t speaking to the believing crowd-those who have received Jesus as Lord.
While the surface understanding of this message makes us think we need to find God early in our lives before we get old, the deeper meaning is that we need to find God while we are living.
For in the space of eternity our earth lives, here and now are short and we are considered very young.
And the season of not finding pleasure, is his way, the mildest way to speak of eternity without God, Hell—which is where we go if we did not receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in here and now.
The next lines speak of when the season of this broken life end, when the stars and moon no longer give light, which is what Jesus told us is going to happen at the end of the season where we were able to choose the Savior or night.
So Solomon is letting all people know this is the season where we need to seek our Creator.
For God sent us Jesus Christ that we would all receive Him and go to Eden Restored.
May we know that we know that we know no matter how old we are when we receive Jesus Christ, as long as we do it before this life ends, we are headed to a grand place of pleasure.
