Those Called Great In the Kingdom!

Children Who Know The Cost Finding Their Joy In Lord!
Those Who Receive It All Back and More!

Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and kneeling down asked a favor of Him. Matthew 20: 20

A mother of the Apostles knew exactly who Jesus was.
She knew that He was the king of the Universe.
She knew that He was going to come into His Kingdom.
So she came to petition for her sons to be given blessings.
She asked that they have seats of honor next to Jesus when He takes his eternal throne.

Jesus tells her that God, the Father, has ordained where and how people will sit in His Kingdom.

But we know that Jesus promised Peter and His Apostles the 12 that followed Him— obviously excluding Judas-who betrayed Him to His death and including who Jesus chose to replace Him with—would sit on twelve thrones in the Kingdom of God.
Jesus tells Peter this when he states, that they left everything to follow Him and asks what they will be given in exchange.

So we can know, that God rewards those who sacrifice today, who leave everything to follow Him.
He told us in the same breath that those of us who left children, spouses, fields, homes for Him and the gospel, won’t fail to get a hundred fold back in this life and the life to come.

May we know that we know that we know this life is worst that it will ever be for us, those who believe.

May we know that we know that we know no matter what we have lost or chosen to give up in this life, our Savior sees and will reward us.

May we know that we know that we know that what we have lost or given up cannot compare to the good, the blessings, the renewal that we have coming for us, along with the sweet wisdom of knowing we haven’t held anything back from the Lord, that we accomplish all He has called us to do down here and now.
