The Mountain
Those Who’s Eyes Who Look To The Mountains and See Where Their Help Comes From!!
Those Who Find That The Lord, The Lord Is A Compassionate And Gracious God, Slow To Anger And Abounding In Love And Faithfulness!!!
No one is to come with you or be seen anywhere on the mountain; not even the flocks and herds may graze on the mountain. Exodus 34: 3
Reading this scripture I wondered, why.
Why can’t anyone go with him.
Why can’t flocks or herds even graze on the mountain.
So I read the whole chapter for context.
Then I reminded myself that I have learned that God is always good.
And when He makes a declaration that ever seems harsh, it’s because He is teaching us something good.
I also reminded myself that that everything-and I mean everything- in the Bible, testifies and points to Jesus.
So when processing this scripture, I was thinking about another mountain, where God prepared mankind to recognize that a Son, God’s Only Son was going to be sacrificed on a mountain, for mankind’s sins.
That all the animals-the sheep, the goats, the bulls-any animal sacrifice could never fulfill.
That only the one human sacrifice, God’s Only Son, the Perfect Son, the Only One, was able to open this door.
The door to Heaven.
The door to God’s Kingdom.
The door that offers all humans, all mankind, forgiveness of our Adam and Eve disobedient hearts.
That Moses being the only one to be able to walk on the mountain, was foreshadowing that Jesus, the Son of God, the perfect one, was the only one who could go to God.
That Jesus was the only one who could open this door for us.
That Jesus was the only one who could fulfill the law for us.
That Jesus, no other sacrifice, no other person could do this for us.
At this time, when Moses went up the mountain, it was his second time to retrieve the law-the ten commandments-and bring it down to people.
The people being Israel.
So on this second offering to Israel—that will happen in the tribulation season—God is making sure, they will know that it is Jesus and Jesus alone, that brings them into God’s presence.
That it is Jesus and Jesus alone that saves us.
That it is Jesus and Jesus alone that makes us new.
That it is Jesus and Jesus alone that that sets us free from slavery to our sinful hearts.
That it is Jesus and Jesus alone that give us His holiness, that God requires.
That it is Jesus and Jesus alone that allows us in enter and live forever in God’s Kingdom, the Real Promised Land, Eden Redeemed.
May we know that we know that we know God is always good, for this is good news, so we can find a good positive encouraging vision of God, wisdom of what God is teaching us, in all scripture.
May we know that we know that we know only Jesus was and is perfectly obedient to God, the only one who could, the only one who did and the only one who offers this, His perfect completion of the law, the only one who gets any credit for this, that allows us to enter into God’s Kingdom, God’s presence forever.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus offers this gift of His works, to all people, Jew and Gentile, that all of mankind enter into God’s Kingdom of Health, Healing, Joy, Peace, Fullness, Completeness, and Belonging, the new adventure of the eternal life, where the land will yield, where people will live in complete love, and our Father, our Savior, will lead us and guide us, right beside us.
