The Restorer-The Refresher-The Renewer

Those Who Say Surely God Is My Help, The Lord Is The One Who Sustains Me!
Those Covered With A New Garment Of Praise, Fresh Beauty For Ashes, A Cup Running Over With The Oil Of Joy!!

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Psalm 51: 11

My mom and I were talking about this the other day.
That she wants to have the joy she had when she first got saved.
She has been a believer for over 50 years.
She was first a devout catholic.
She did all the things she was supposed to do at the right times.
But when my father led her to Jesus, she said she felt this peace that she has never known.
That all the fear, the questioning, the have I done enough, was gone.
And she just lived in peace, in joy, in certainty.
And lately, especially since my father has passed, its less.
She feels it less.
She questions more.
She just doesn’t have the overwhelming joy and peace, like she did before.

In June, July, and August I wrote up and taught on the book of Revelation.
I experienced so much spiritual warfare.
Every week, every day, an attack.
It was so difficult to get through.
Getting to read it, seeing Jesus and His heart through it, blessed me.
The wisdom He gave me, and that He kept showing up, to teach me, to reveal truths to me, to get me through it, was so rewarding.
But it was so hard!!!

Yesterday I was giving a friend my testimony about all I have been through on this journey.
This journey to write differently.
This journey to learn to stand on His words and His words alone!
To train the trainers, to write truths that heal, to set captives free.
That first Jesus gave me this vision,
And then He gave me the motivation.
Things, warfare, that chased me, hunted me, scared me, into walking so deeply with the Lord, plumbing the depths of His words for any truth I could stand on, finding that only His words were the truth.
But He also gave me people on this journey of training, to fight for, to be spurred on by depths of wisdom of their needs, and supplied me an overflowing, unstoppable, unperturbable love for them-hindus, buddhists, super athiests, oppressed christians, my family, my colleagues, my friends.
That all this would motivate me to do all that He called me to do.

And it did, it has, for years.

But now like my mom, my season has changed too.
So many people healed, taught truths that set them free.
I have written so many documents and devotionals.
Many of those who hunted me, are now on the same team.
So many soul ties broken.
That I’m not as motivated.

That I realized this is just another learning.
That this is just another training.
That now I am getting to learn that God really is the restore-er of all things.
That He gave us the joy we had in the beginning of being saved.
That He gave us the fire to know Him, to share Him, to love Him and love others to Him.
That that is the whole point of Jesus coming.
That Jesus was coming to restore us.
That He was making us into who we were always supposed to be in Eden.
And that He literally came to restore what was lost, stolen, given away.
That He is the One who all makes all things new.
That He is the One that makes all things better, greater than they were before.

May we know that we know that we know that we know if we are going through a shift in our seasons, its just an opportunity to see Him work in our lives in a greater new way, seeing Him truly be our Restorer.

May we know that we know that we know that Job, Joseph, Nebuchadnezzar, and so many more were all restored back better in their days, greater than they were before, just like our Lord and Savior Jesus.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus literally came to restore us to the eternal people we were always called to be, restoring our reconnection back to God our Father, restoring us to His Kingdom of light, life and love, restoring us to get to walk in the garden with Him again, restoring us to better than we were in Eden, for now we will known, have seen, and tasted that He is good, true to His word, and seen all that He has and was saving us from.
