Where Rest is Found!

Adventure Bound Children On the Greatest Voyage!

Remember the command that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you after he said, The Lord your God will give you rest by giving you this land. Joshua 1: 13

The Israelites were now entering in the Promised Land.
That this will be their land.
And this is where God will give them rest.

For they have been wandering the desert for 40 years.
For they have been moving, setting up, tearing down and then moving again throughout the whole 40 years.
For they have not had a place of their own, a stable home where they can build their community.

So God is promising that as they enter this land, they will have rest, stability.
This is a promise for all people.
That as we enter our Promised Land, God will give us rest.

We can only enter our Promised Land through receiving Jesus Christ as Lord.
That He is the one that opened up the Promised Land of God’s Kingdom for us through His sacrifice on the cross.
That when we believe and receive Jesus Christ as Lord, we have immediately entered into our Promised Land.
That the moment we believed in Jesus, receiving His sacrifice from our Adam and Eve natures, we have entered into the Eternal Kingdom of God, spiritually.

That we have now entered this rest.
That we now, no longer have to do anything to save ourselves.
That we are part of the forever Kingdom of God.
For Jesus paid for everything we needed to enter into this Kingdom of God, the Eternal Promised Land.
So we have now entered this rest, resting on what Jesus did for us.

And more so, because now we are led by His Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God dwelling inside us.

So we aren’t working in our own strength.
We are simply surrendering to Him to work through us.
We are simply surrendering to have Him choose the way we go.
We are simply surrendering to have Him show us the wisdom of the best paths we need to choose.
We are simply surrendering to His ways, that bring His strength and His favor through us.

This is the rest!

For now, we are not working to be saved.
We are resting in the knowing, we are now getting to work as God’s teammate.
We are resting in the knowing, He is in control, leading us, that everyone around know this peace, this confidence, this joy of what it is, to be saved.
We are resting in the knowing, that the moment we close our eyes to this life, we will really live!
We are resting in the knowing, that no matter what happens now, we have an eternal life of health, healing, joy, completeness, as our future.
We are resting in the knowing, that our future is living in the Promised Land of Jesus’s Kingdom, where sickness and death no longer exist, and where every good gift, every good promise in the Bible will be a daily reality, the standard of living.

May we know that we know that we know we can all enter this rest today by choosing to receive Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, asking Him into our hearts.

May we know that we know that we know as we do, we receive Him to live inside us, that we have this confidence He is with us, He is for us, and He will get us to all His good plans for us.

May we know that we know that we know this promise is for everyone who would choose to receive it.
