Redeemed Renewed Little Ones Led To The Greenest Pastures!!
Those Found Walking In The Cool of The Evening With Their Forever Father!!

Then He made two cherubim out of hammered gold at the end of the cover. Exodus 37: 7

God is outlining the pieces of His temple in Exodus.
He is having people make these pieces.
That each of these pieces would make up the physical temple of God.
Now everything God tells us, means something deep about God, His ways, and His plans for mankind.
This scripture is describing what we call the ark of the covenant.
Ark means, chest, or box or coffin.
In this scripture, the statement actually is called the ark of shittim wood (or acacia wood).
Meaning God is having this worker make a chest of wood, a box of wood or a coffin of wood.

Then he creates, hammers two cherubim out of gold on the gold cover of this, chest, box, coffin.

I remembered reading this and asking myself, how did this guy even know there are cherubim’s and what they look like.
Then I remembered Genesis and the Garden of Eden.
That we see that after Adam and Eve sinned-disobeyed God-God removed them from the Garden of Eden placing cherubim to guard the entrance, that they no longer be able to eat from the tree of life.
Because if they did, they would be separate from God and His healing, His joy, His Love, His friendship, His peace filled ways, for all eternity.

So God is showing us, something greater, through this physical image that was housed in His temple and that led the march when Israelites would move to their next location, when wandering in the desert those 40 years.

That He wanted them to know that this chest, this box, this coffin, would lead them back to the Tree of Life.
That He wanted them to know that this chest, this box, this coffin, was the entrance to God’s eternal presence.
That He wanted them to know that this chest, this box, this coffin, speaks of a death that would open up the entrance back to Eden, God’s Eternal Presence, for mankind.

That all of this was foreshadowing of the sacrifice that Jesus would make, His death, that paid for mankind’s disobedience.
His death that gives all who believe access to the tree of life, now living forever.
His death that opens up God’s forever presence for mankind, where we will walk in the Garden with Him again.

May we know that we know that we know this ark that led the people, made to make up the temple, was for all of us, for all people to know that Jesus is the one who leads us and guides us out of the desert, out of the wilderness, back through the entrance to Eden, where we walk with our Father and live forever in His love and with His friendship for all time because of His death on the cross.
