Those Who Lead Others To Life
Those Who Look Foward to Life, To The Ways of Life!!
Those Who Will Be Found Righteous, Saved Long Before, Never Tasting or Seeing The Tribulation To Come!!
But Lot’s wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt. Genesis 19: 26
Jesus—in Luke 17—in telling the Israelites that His 2nd coming, when He is coming to reveal Himself to them, the Jews, as Messiah will be like the days of Lot.
That the season that He is specifically coming back to redeem all the Hebrews, the Jews, to their Messiah, is the tribulation when fire will rain down, that destructions will dominate and reign.
It’s what we call the tribulation, the season that is coming to test the whole world. (See Four Seasons training and Certainty of Rapture training)
That at this time, during the tribulation, a season to come-when fire is raining down in Israel-specifically Jerusalem—Jesus the Messiah specifically reminds them about Lot’s wife, that they should remember her.
Lot’s wife was part of a righteous removal—a group of people being removed by God, led by His servants-angels—knowing destruction was going to rain down from above, that they be safe, protected before this fire, this destruction comes down to destroy.
That God had mercy on those who followed Him, who believed in Him.
That Lot followed and believed in the One and Only True God, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.
So God was removing Lot—the only righteous, the only God-fearing person in these cities— before He destroyed them.
He and his family were allowed, being led out to safety with him.
But Lot’s wife turned back and was made a pillar of salt on their journey to safety.
I just kept asking myself:
Why does Jesus mention this?
Why was she made a pillar of salt?
Why salt?
We, believers—those who have received our Messiah, Jesus Christ as Lord—are called to be the salt of the earth, bringing healing truth to everyone and anyone.
And each sacrifice the Israelites had to give at the temple had to be covered in salt.
Both of these make sense in the natural.
Salt is a preservative, something that stops decay.
So being the salt of the earth is to bring truth, lead to the truth, stop the world death, the decay of missing, not following the Only True God.
Salt also enhances the flavor of food.
None of which made sense with this scenario with Lot’s wife, as this is death, punishment.
So I pored through the Bible looking for the context of this.
I found the parallel is Deuteronomy 29: 23
That those who don’t choose the only God, will be like a salt and sulfur plain, nothing sprouting, no vegetation.
We are called to be trees of life, trees planted by the streams of God’s life-giving water, that we stay lush and green all our days, all eternity, that we give off the fruits of the Spirit, that we produce fruit of faith—faith in the One True God, through His Son Jesus Christ, the Messiah-fruit that we share, give to everyone around us, leading them to the One True God, through Jesus Christ the Messiah.
So God is telling us she did not choose, believe or receive God as her God.
That she was choosing the ways of death, the ways against on the Only True God.
That on this Exodus for safety, to truth, she turned back to the ways of mankind, the world’s slavery.
So God turned her into what she was choosing in her heart, becoming barren lifeless place, a place without fruit of faith, a without life.
Because without God, the Only God, we are without life.
We are without the ability to give life, to share the truth of the One True God that gives us eternal life, life beyond the grave.
So she was the example of what happens to all those who do not choose God now.
They become a place that doesn’t not produce, hold carry and bear life.
Lot was led to safety, to be all He was called to be, A Priest of the Lord.
For the Israelites, the Hebrews were called to lead all people to One and Only True God.
And since she was not choosing God, His ways, she could not be part of the future, where Lot and his family and the rest of the Israelites were going to lead the world to the One True God.
This is also true for the times of the tribulation.
Jesus is going to remove people from Jerusalem to save them from fire above, and they will believe and receive Him as Lord, leading the world at this time to believe and receive Jesus Christ as Lord, fulfilling their eternal destinies of Priests of God!!
May we know that we know that we know God tells us what is going to happen before it happens, that when we are faced with the opportunities, we can rise above the situations and be all that we are called to be.
May we know that we know that we know the Only Way to Have Life Eternal, True Life and Living Today and For All The Time To Come, Beyond The Grave, is through the One True God, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, who sent the Messiah to save us, Jesus Christ.
May we know that we know that we know everyone and anyone can be a tree of life, a tree planted by the streams of water, a person who carries the fruit of faith that leads all people to Life Eternal by receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, today, not needing to wait for any destruction or any exodus to come.
