Faith Walking
Those Who Have Learned To Walk By Faith Not By Sight!
Loved Creations of The Lord That Look To Him and Receive Their Provision In Due Season!
Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with Him and proclaimed His name. Exodus 34: 5
I started noticing how often God speaks to people through a cloud.
The Israelites in a pillar of cloud in Exodus.
Job in the storm and lightning.
Jesus on the mountain of transfiguration.
And out of the clouds when He is baptized.
He even said He is coming on the clouds when He comes back.
Most of the time I imagined a person standing in the cloud.
But I recently started realizing it was a just cloud.
Otherwise, like Daniel, someone would have said, I saw someone like a son of man.
Meaning Daniel saw a human form.
But these people are just seeing a cloud.
A bunch of water vapor.
A fluffy bunch of white floating
Or a swirling dark gray cotton in the sky.
And this powerful voice speaks out of it.
And for some reason it hit me different today.
That my human nature is still seeking, longing to see Him.
I find myself focusing on a spot on the horizon or on a place.
Talking in a direction to God.
That I will look to clouds to speak to Him.
That I will look to the sun to speak to Him,
That I will look to the moon to speak to Him.
Realizing how much I want to see someone, something, focus on something I can see.
That my human nature, looks to see something when I talk to Him.
That I look in the natural for Him.
Though I know He lives inside me.
That it gives me mercy for the Israelites.
It gives mercy anyone who has chosen to worship something else just because they can see it.
It gives me mercy on anyone who struggles with faith.
I think that is (partly) why Jesus came in human form.
That we humans could process who He is.
Knowing He made us for earth.
Knowing that He made us to love other humans.
Knowing that He is so much more vast than we can really comprehend.
Knowing that we would want to see Him.
Knowing we would want to have an image to think on.
But God knowing this we have this need to see.
That He gave us the Bible.
That in this season we can see Him.
That in this season we can know Him.
That in this season we see who He is, His shape, His character, His heart, His thoughts.
And since we have the Bible to know Him,
We can also know that He is coming back.
And that we will see Him face to face.
That we will be with Him face to face.
That we will speak with Him face to face.
That this need to see Him, will be satisfied.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus/God made us and knows all our needs.
May we know that we know that we know Our Creator/Jesus/God started out walking in the garden of Eden with us.
May we know that we know that we know Our Creator/Jesus/God came to save us, that we could and would all walk with Him, be with Him, see Him and speak with Him face to face again.
