A Counting-A Payment

Those Who Won’t Miss Receiving This Free Gift!!
Those Who Will Be Counted Among the Righteous and Holy Forever!

All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the Lord. Exodus 30: 14

God is giving His rules, His commands for living.
He had just been telling Aaron how to be the high priest of the temple.
Then in scripture, God moves to give directives for each individual.
That each person who has hit the age of 20 years or more has to give an offering to the Lord.
That each person when they hit this age, must pay a ransom for their life.
That this will keep them from receiving a plague upon them.

Throughout the Bible, 20 years old is considered the fighting age.
That when men aged to 20, they all now became part of the warriors (except the Levites).
But that now they all can be “counted” in the numbers of people, warriors, as grown-ups.
That when they are counted, they had to give a ransom, a money offering for their lives.
Otherwise they would suffer a plague and die.

While this seems harsh, it is God showing us a precursor to Jesus and His sacrifice.
His payment on the cross.
Our need for Him.
His purpose for us.
His reason to die for us.
That He would be our payment, our ransom from death!

That as all people become of age—20—they are going to require a ransom for themselves.
At 20 a person would now be counted as an individual by God.
At 20 a person is now considered enlightened.
At 20 meaning the age when people know, or are accountable to know, right from wrong, by God.
That at 20, a person was no longer considered under their parent’s covering.
That at this age-20- we were required a ransom for ourselves.

That paying this ransom would save us from a plague.

For a plague, God’s wrath, will come to all people who do not have, who have not received God’s payment for the sinful nature of mankind-our Adam and Eve’s hearts.

But if we have received, paid the cost, the ransom for our lives, by receiving what Jesus did for us on the cross, that we will NOT suffer in the plague, the wrath, the death in a burning lake of fire that is to come.

That instead, we will live!!

That those who have received Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, His ransom for our lives, will now, not suffer this plague but will live forever in Jesus, God’s Kingdom of life, health, healing, for all eternity.

That this is only ransom, only payment that we need to make!!

May we know that we know that we know God required payment for the injustice of breaking His laws, with our Adam and Eve’s hearts.

May we know that we know that we know that is why the Israelites had to model this for us, years before Jesus came, that when He did come, and give up His life, we would recognize what He offered us, our payment, our required ransom for life and health.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus has already paid this ransom, this payment, for the Adam and Eve hearts that we were accountable for, that we had from birth, that if we just receive we will live forever in His Kingdom of generosity, giving us blessings before we even ask or know we need, of mercy for all people, of love that is higher than the heavens, of provision that never runs out, of health, of healing, of joy that renews our youth daily, for all eternity, by just accepting His payment for us at the cross, by calling on His name as Lord.

And may we know that we know that we know the ever-urgent call to lead, to love, to teach and to tell everyone over the age of 20 about Jesus, His payment, that they receive their ransom paid in full today.
