Always With Him
New Creations, Temples of The Lord!
Those Who Believed And Received The Gift of The Holy Spirit
Then Moses would return to the camp but His young aid Joshua Son of Nun did not leave the tent. Exodus 33: 11
The tent in this scripture is the tent of meeting.
The place where God would come down and talk to Moses.
The place where anyone who had questions for, from the Lord, would go to ask.
It’s the place where they could get wisdom from God Himself.
Unlike today, where we can speak to God any place, anytime, anywhere.
We see that Joshua, Moses aid, doesn’t leave the tent.
God is showing them then and us now, Joshua never leaves God’s presence.
It is foreshadowing for us to see that there is a new season where we will can live with the Lord all the time.
That we can be in His presence all the time.
That we can ask Him questions whenever we want.
This happened, became available because of Jesus and His sacrifice and Him taking His life back up again.
That brought forth His Spirit to be loosed on the earth.
That everyone who believes in Jesus and His sacrifice, can then receive His Spirit.
His Spirit that allows us to be able to talk to God.
His Spirit that allows us to ask God questions.
His Spirit that allows us to be in His presence all the time.
Us never leaving the tent of meeting.
Him entering us, making us the tent of meeting.
Him actually never leaving us.
This also foreshows more for the Jews, for Israel.
For Moses is symbolic of the first generation.
Those that saw Jesus and walked with Jesus.
Those who stayed in the old traditions of sacrifice and trying to earn their faith.
Those not yet receiving who Jesus was and what He offered.
Those, going back to the camp.
But this scripture is to give hope.
For a new generation, a second generation of Jews, like Joshua, who would never leave the tent.
Joshua, who God says to us in Numbers, that He was a person of faith.
Joshua, who believed God’s words, over any fear and gets to enter the Promised Land.
That a new generation, a second generation of Jews, would believe what Jesus did and offers.
That a new generation will receive this new way of being in God’s presence all the time.
That a new generation will receive the Holy Spirit, Jesus’s Spirit to live inside them.
May we know that we know that we know if we receive Jesus as Lord, asking Him into our hearts, we can live in God’s presence today, now, and forever, asking Him whatever we want, whenever we want, where ever we want, always being in His presence.
May we know that we know that we know everything in the Old Testament/Tanakh is there to show us who God is, what He offers, what He has planned and His goodness that He offers everyone and anyone.
May we know that we know that we know God has showed us He has provision for His first people, those who showed us the way, that they, this second generation, will always be His people, too.
