Not Me Speaking!
Those Who Have Learned To Lean Not On Their Own Understanding But To Trust Him In All Our Ways!!
Those Who Believe And Will See The Glory of God!!
But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time, you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Matthew 10: 19-20
I have been writing devotionals now, nonstop for two full years, having started on my third year in June.
I currently have five notebooks of scriptures from my daily readings that I choose from (that is still growing).
I was trying to go in order but sometimes I get wild and let Jesus pick randomly through me.
And it turns out the scripture I randomly chose out of my second notebook, is the same chapter my Bible was currently opened to on my desk.
Though not the chapter I was actually reading through his morning.
And it’s the exact scripture that I was teaching two friends yesterday at church.
The exact scripture!
Praying this over them.
For they were concerned about a test and conversations they were going to have this week.
It’s what I pray for our pastors all the time.
That Jesus would speak through them.
That Jesus be heard through them.
That we see His mighty moves.
When I wrote down this scripture back in March I notated why.
I had been praying for a big event at work.
Praying and believing that Jesus would speak through me.
A word of life from me to my colleagues that they would all be saved immediately.
And looking back at my writing going, well if I prayed this scripture and Jesus promised it, then it happened.
It was just the speaking that came out of me then wasn’t what I thought it would be.
I didn’t see it as a mighty move.
I didn’t speak great scripture, sermons, deep encouraging words from Jesus.
I wasn’t given the opportunity.
I actually only got to be nice.
To be social
To do my job.
To be kind.
Just very simple conversations.
Though I got to lightly encourage one person.
I simply got to love on all of them.
I realized then God was teaching me.
That if I have been surrendering and asking for this, then I need to trust that what is coming out of my mouth, is what He wants.
And now having just run to the grocery store to grab something, at my lunch hour, I got to speak with a woman at the checkout line and outside, me giving her my testimony and praying over her.
Just naturally flowing out of me
And her giving me her story.
Her also having worked in science/medicine too.
Me telling her about my colleagues and all those I’m seeking to bring to Jesus.
And I am just amazed.
I’m amazed how Jesus orchestrates these opportunities.
That He allowed me to share my heart with another person that heard.
That He allowed me to love on her, sharing with all that He has taken me through.
That He gave me my friends at church to pray over.
That all three of these situations concerned the word He is having me write on.
Him speaking through me.
That each one of these moments were different.
That each one of these conversations were different.
That He gives me the moment of deep diving, sharing my testimony, praying over others, encouraging people with scripture out in the open and at church.
Even now deep poring through His words to promote Jesus life in others and send encouragement through my website.
But then He gives me these moments, like at work, to simply be love.
That, that was the word that needed to come out of my mouth at that time.
And all of it has just amazed me!
Amazed at how He directs my steps.
Amazed at how He chooses these opportunities.
Amazed that He gives me the opportunities.
And Amazed how He made me recognize today, all that He has been teaching me through this scripture.
May we know that we know that we know He will speak through us, giving us the right words.
May we know that we know that we know He knows the right words that people need, and when they need them.
May we know that we know that we know no matter what we thought, as we trust Him, when we look back, we will be amazed how He answered this, over and over, and over again.
