On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. Matthew 10: 18

The disciples were told to expect opposition to their message.

The disciples were told to expect to speak in front of powerful people defending the gospel.

That this was part of the job.

The opposition was brought by God so that they could witness to powerful people.

The opposition was brought so the gospel would be told in great forums to large numbers of people, powerful people with influence.

It was God’s plan so that the truth would be heard and spread.

So Jesus didn’t want them to be discouraged when they were shamed and wrongly persecuted because it was part of the plan, that the gospel would be spoken to high levels and spread around the world, saving as many people as possible.

May we know that we know that we know no matter the persecution that we are suffering under, God is in control and uses it to get us to the right places, to speak to the right people that we accomplish all our purposes.

May we know that we know that we know that like the Joseph’s and Jobs, and the apostles it’s not always what we have been doing wrong that brought us the trial but maybe it was what we were doing right.

May we know that we know that we know God uses all things to get us where we are supposed to be, with all the provision we need at the right time.
