Blue Sky, Blue Sea, Blue Me
Those Who Find His Love Reaches Past the Heavens!
Those Who Find His Mercy is Greater Than the Deepest of The Oceans!!
Make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth. Exodus 28: 31
God was consecrating, setting apart the Priests.
He was giving them specific instructions what they are to wear in His Presence at the Temple.
They started their dressing with a basis of linen, white refined linen undergarment.
The linen symbolizes Jesus.
Because linen is refined, stripped beaten, to be a silky refined fabric.
Like Jesus was during His sacrifice for us.
So, Jesus is the finely twisted linen that makes up the undergarment.
Because Jesus is the basis of all of our faith.
For Jesus is supposed to be the basis, the inner core of all people.
That when we receive Him as Lord and Savior, what He did on the cross, we receive this clothing, this garment, our undergarment.
The linen undergarment of Jesus and His payment, His refined nature, His Holiness.
As if we had been sacrificed, now wearing this covering, His covering of holiness.
So all the Priests were required to start with this basis.
For the whole Kingdom of God, is based on this, that Jesus is the Lord.
This fact, Jesus, His sacrifice, receiving this truth, being the opening, the only way to get into God’s Kingdom.
He, His sacrifice, being the basis of our faith in the Only Kingdom that will last, God’s Kingdom.
Then He has the Priests put on a blue ephod, an outer garment.
The next layered piece, a connector piece, that Priests and prophets put on when they wanted to talk to God and hear from Him directly.
Blue, cobalt blue is my favorite color.
But since God colored all the sky blue, the sea reflects blue, and His throne listed in Exodus resting on lapis lazuli flooring, I think it’s one of His favorite colors too.
But whether it’s His favorite color or not, it speaks, reminds us of the sky and the waters of the earth.
In day two of creation, God spoke and separated the waters, that reflect blue, from the sky and from the earth.
So, God is using blue, as the ephod, the next layer, yes because it’s so lovely but also because it testifies, He is the God of all creation.
That He is the God that gives us life giving water.
The water that we need to drink daily that we live in the natural.
But also the God who gives the Rivers of Living Water to cover us, to live inside us, His Spirit, The Living Water that gives us eternal life.
And He has the Priests put them on their body in this order because this is the order that we receive His eternal life.
For first we receive Jesus, His refinement, His beaten sacrifice on the cross, for us that pays for our sinful nature.
Then we put on, receive the Rivers of Living Water, the Waters of Life, His Holy Spirit.
The Spirit that connects us back to our Father God where we can speak directly to Him, just like the Priests did back then.
God had the Priests back then to cover themselves with these two pieces of clothing, that we understand the offering of Jesus when He came.
That we would know that we needed this sacrifice.
That we would receive Jesus in faith, we get spiritually clothed with His white linen on the inside, covering our sinful nature given to us by Adam and Eve’s disobedience.
And then the beautiful blue ephod, our connection to God, covering us with life, actually moves in, to live inside us, to lead us, to guide us, to let us speak directly to our Father, all the time.
That we see this connection, this need, His Spirit, this essential to eternal life, His blue ephod of living water to live inside us, daily and nightly, connecting us to our Father, our Savior, always having this spring of life, bubble from inside us, feeding us, connecting us to our Father’s ways, His words, His guidance and His love.
May we know that we know that we know if we have already believed in Jesus Christ as Lord, that we have this connection, this life of water living inside us, that proves in the Heavenlies, we belong to Him, never to be removed, always having access to Him, directly.
May we know that we know that we know we can accept this offering of finely twisted linen undergarments for our soul and receive this Spring of Eternal Life, this blue ocean of waters, the vast expanse of the atmosphere to live inside us, always giving us our Father’s wisdom and direct connection, right now, this moment, today.
May we know that we know that we know God is always trying to show us, with everything He has written in the Bible, that we receive His Son’s offering, the Jewish Messiah’s sacrifice on the cross, that we all receive our inner blue ephod of rivers of life and live with Him forever.
