Those Being Led On The Best Path For His Names Sake!!
Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God. 2 Corinthians 1: 9
This is Paul speaking.
He and Timothy have been traveling all over.
They are preaching gospel of Jesus Christ.
At this time most of the world is pagan.
They encountered all kinds of challenges in this mission.
They encountered sicknesses, diseases, snake bites.
They encountered shipwrecks and transportation issues.
They constantly encountered people rising up against them.
Trying to stop them spreading this message.
Having them attacked, stoned, shouted down, arrested.
And through his challenges, Paul is pointing us to act like Jesus.
Paul is pointing us to remember how Jesus behaved.
Paul is pointing us to surrender like Jesus.
Paul is pointing us to recognize that God is leading and guiding us.
That God is sovereign over all situations.
That nothing can happen to us with God ordaining it.
That God is using this situation to reveal Himself to Paul, to Timothy.
That God is using this situation to reveal Himself to us who read about what they went through.
That we would see that God shows up when we need Him.
That God comes down to fight our battles.
That God uses our challenges to strengthen our faith in Him.
That God uses our challenges to strengthen our trust in Him.
Which then increases our peace.
Which then increases our love for Him.
Which then increases our willingness, our drive, our motivation, our fire to want to tell everyone we know, about the only God who comes down to help His people, to save His people, to fight for His people.
May we know that we know that we know everything God takes us through, allows in our lives, is meant to show us His loving character, His power all over all situations, things, and people, and His willingness to save us, help us, heal us, that we be empowered to tell everyone around us that they believe in Him and receive all that He has for them too.
