Changed for Eternity
Those Who Have Seen and Testify to the Life that Appeared!
Those Who Have Fellowship With the Father and With His Son Jesus Christ!!
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. 1 John 3: 2
This letter—1 John—is written to believers: those who have already chosen Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
And the writer is letting us know that we will be changed in eternity.
That what we are now, will not be what we are in the future.
We will still be us.
We will still have our personalities.
If we are problem solvers, we will still want to solve problems.
We won’t lose what made us, us.
For God gave us our personalities, our likes, our dislikes.
But we will be changed.
All sickness and decay will have been removed.
Any lacking in our health, gone forever.
For Jesus defeated death at the cross.
In eternity, Jesus has promised us new challenges, new ventures, taking over ten cities there, instead of just handling ten bags of gold, here.
But since death, sin, and corruption has been defeated by Jesus at the cross, these challenges won’t defeat us.
These challenges won’t stop us.
These challenges won’t bring sickness or early death to us.
We will no longer serve as doctors and police officers and preachers like we did here and now.
For death has been defeated, sin is removed completely, and we will all know God face to face.
But maybe we will help God create new things, new creatures, new ways, create new life, new lands, with Him.
Or serve to take care of new creatures, people, that will always prosper.
Or learn and teach things we have never even fathomed that have not even existed in this season of our lives.
May we know that we know that we know what we will be has not yet been made known, Yet, since our God sent Jesus to take away the evil, the darkness, the sickness, the death of this life, the things that bring pain and suffering in this life, to bring us into His world, His life, His family, it’s going to better than any human could fathom.
May we know that we know that we know He made us, He designed us, and He only gives good gifts.
