The Stones Cry Out!!!
Those Who Know What Bring Us Peace!
Those Who Heard the Cry and Spoke Back!
I tell you, He replied, If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out. Luke 19: 40
Stones, Stones, Stones.
Why would the stones cry out I asked myself!
Why not the trees???
What not the birds???
Why stones.???
I had just written this document about Jesus being-Greater Than Moses (see training page)-about the importance of relation of the stone jars, and all the symbolism in the water to wine miracle.
So reading this in Luke, I said, stones again, why stones?
Then God hit me with it.
Jesus is the rock uncut from human hands that is symbolic that defeats every kingdom before it.
Moses while leading people in the wilderness, to their Promised Land, had to strike the rock to bring forth water for them to drink.
So Moses is foreshadowing that Jesus will be struck, killed, to bring forth the water, the Holy Spirit, the fountain of life for all people to drink from.
Then God tells Moses to speak to the rock.
Now Moses fails and instead of speaking to the rock, strikes it again.
But since Jesus is the Rock, and has already been struck, killed, already been sacrificed for our sins, He doesn’t need to be struck and sacrificed a second time.
That we like Moses are called to speak to the rock, or call on the name of the Lord to be saved.
That indeed everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Moses didn’t speak to the rock or essentiality call on His name.
So Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land with the Israelites on earth.
I remember thinking, wow that’s harsh of God. Why?
Because, It was foreshadowing that everyone who doesn’t call on name of Jesus, The Rock, will not enter the Promised land of eternity with God.
So the rocks are actually already crying out to us!
That all would believe that Jesus was crucified on the cross for our sinful nature given to us at Eden by Adam and Eve’s disobedience, rose again, and sent the rivers of living water, the Holy Spirit to us, those who believe, who have spoken to the rock, who have called on His name.
May we know that we know that we know the rocks cry out and testify that Jesus is the Messiah.
May we know that we know that we know the rocks testify that if we call on His name, we will be saved, given the Holy Spirit of life.
May we know that we know that we know the rocks testify that we who have spoken, called on His name, Will indeed enter our Promised Land, eternity with God!!!
