Darkness to Light
Those Who Look to Jesus Their Faces Are Made Radiant!
Those Led by And Living Under the Glory From Above!
It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in afternoon for the sun stopped shining and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Luke 23: 44-45
Darkness came over the land.
The sun stopped shining.
For the Light of the World had been snuffed out.
The Author of Life, His life taken.
This was God our Father honoring His Son our Messiah.
God, our Father showing us, through creation, the impact of what had happened.
That the Creator of Light, was killed.
That the darkness in peoples hearts had put Jesus to death.
For we all received darkness in our hearts when Adam and Eve sinned.
That Jesus had given up His life that we be freed from the darkness in our hearts.
The darkness that kept us unable to see God and His loving ways.
The darkness that kept us unable to feel God’s love.
The darkness that kept us from being able to receive His healing, for today and forever.
The darkness that kept us from living with the eternal light of life inside us.
So darkness reigned for a moment.
But God is so good.
And He made the light return after three hours.
It was a sign to all the people.
That the darkness, it’s seeming victory, was temporary.
For Jesus returned, came back to life, the Light of the World, shining again, after three days.
The darkness would have also been a specific sign to the Israelites.
And for all of us who have learned about the Exodus.
That those who follow the pagan ways are living under and will be covered under darkness.
Unable to see the truth, Unable to see the One True God and His Life-Giving Ways.
Just like the Egyptians that were covered in darkness during the plagues.
But those, those who are moving into freedom from slavery of darkness will live under the light, the light of God.
Just like the Hebrews, before they were set free to follow God out of Egypt.
That the temporary darkness and then the light returning was sign that Jesus is coming back to life, was the way to freedom, the true Exodus, the way to follow the One True God.
The way to Live under the light.
The way we could see the One True God and His Life-Giving Ways.
The Exodus that is offered to all people.
May we know that we know that we know we can all live under and with this light of truth.
May we know that we know that we know it comes through receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Messiah, what He did on the cross.
May we know that we know that we know that when we receive what Jesus did for us, we like the Israelites have walked into our freedom from slavery to the darkness too.
