Dreams, Wisdom, And Surrender
Those Who Learn To Trust In The Lord With All Their Heart And Do Not Lean Not On Their Own Understanding!!
Those Who Trust In the One Who Keeps Our Going Out And Our Coming In From This Time Forth And Forevermore!
In the second year of his reign, Nebuchandnezzar had dreams; his mind was troubled and he could not sleep. So the king summoned the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers to tell him what he had dreamed. When they came in and stood before the king, he said to them, I have had a dream that troubles me and I want to know what it means. Daniel 2: 1-3
God gave me a dream early this morning.
I was blocked in my dreams.
Being blocked from the bathroom.
Being blocked from getting to a room I was seeking.
People taking things that were mine.
People distracting me.
People blocking me from progress.
And in the dream, it made me angry.
Which is weird because I don’t really get angry.
Mainly because I have been through so many trials.
That I was conscious enough in the dream to change an anger feeling towards a person, to be moved to ask them, how can I pray for them.
And then I woke up.
I had been praying for wisdom before I fell asleep.
And God was answering it.
That He was giving me the solution to a new writing.
He was teaching me like I asked.
And He was providing the motivation, the understanding to the dilemma I was trying to solve.
First that the issue was lack of control.
Feeling helpless.
Feeling unable to make progress.
That when focused on brings anger to people.
And then He gave me the solution.
The solution was to first surrender to God’s divine plan.
To surrender to God’s purposes in my life.
To surrender to God’s timing for my purposes in His life.
To surrender to how He wants to bring these purposes to pass.
Then that I needed to increase my faith in His Sovereignty over all my situations!
The details, the timings, the what’s I was doing and where’s, my moments.
Reminding myself that God is in control of everything.
That I realize these were opportunities from Him, not delays.
That I realize these were the objectives from Him, that I was supposed to be doing.
That they were the mission, not barriers to my mission.
Which then changed the emotions.
That the frustration and anger, then turned into mercy and love.
That the impatience turned into investment.
That the distraction turned into mission.
That the haste to run away became the desire to linger, to pray, to console, to help.
May we know that we know that we know if we ask the Lord for wisdom, He is faithful to supply it, through dreams, through visions, through friends, through strangers, through the Bible, through a word.
May we know that we know that we know we are called to surrender to Jesus, to His plans, to His missions, to His timing, on this walk, in this life, daily.
May we know that we know that we know the very thing we may be trying to get away from may be the very mission God is calling us to.
