Only God can take can our failure and use it as our answer to prayer.
I had prayed yesterday evening for the renewal of my purposes and promises.
Then I opened the Bible and God gave me a word that has been my ministry this whole time.
But then He did even more!
He let me fail early in the morning.
So I got on my knees and repented.
Then I realized what He had done.
He used this failure, me being someone I didn’t like-hurting someone with my words-doing the complete opposite of my calling, my passion, my purpose, my ministry, the complete opposite of who and what I had been doing for decades— to fail completely, to remind me of who I wanted to be, who I had been my whole life, what my purpose and focus was and is and will be—love, speaking life, showing people God’s love through Jesus that brings health and healing and life.
God is so good!
He let me fail spectacularly to answer my prayer.
Because in seeing myself, seeing that I went against my very nature, the deepest desires of my heart, I realized what mattered to me.
I realized through the failure who I didn’t want to be.
I realized through the failure who I missed being.
I realized through the failure the answer to my prayer.
For God showed me and gave me back the desires of my heart to be who He called me to be, His Loving Daughter, preaching and teaching about Jesus and His extravagant love.
That people would know who Jesus is by my love.
May we know that we know that we know God answers our prayers.
May we know that we know that we know How brilliant our Father is to answer our prayers in ways we could never have fathomed.
May we know that we know that we know that Jesus died to save us, to take care of us, He will surely show up in ways we could have never imagined.
