Granted Requests!
Those Who Find Favor With the King!
Those Who Ask With Shameless Audacity!!
Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life—this is my petition. And spare my people—this is my request. Esther 7: 3
Esther was Jewish.
One of the King’s advisors did not know this.
He was seeking to destroy all the Jews out of anger and pride, which included her.
So she went and made a petition to the King for herself and her people.
The King granted this request.
Esther was saved by the King.
And all her people were saved too.
This is the holiday called Purim that Jews celebrate.
For they were saved from destruction.
But there is so much more to this story.
First Esther represents the Jewish people.
And that there is a real enemy-the devil-who is seeking to annihilate, kill all Jewish people.
So Esther represents all the judges, all the deliverers, all the people who have come forward to make petition to God for protection that the people of Israel be saved from the enemy of this world.
And God shows that He does and will continue to protect and save this people group.
Esther also represents Jesus in this story.
It’s what He does for all people.
Jesus made a petition to the King, God.
His perfect obedience in life being that petition.
His obedience to die on the cross being that petition.
His obedience to take up His life again proving His divine nature being that petition.
That we be offered His-Jesus’s-perfect obedience for our rebellious hearts-from our Adam and Eve nature.
That we be offered His-Jesus’s- perfect sacrifice on the cross, for payment for the rebellious hearts we were born with.
That all this would reconnect us back to our Father God in Heaven, giving us unity in heart and mind forever, with our Maker.
So-God-Father-honors this request.
So everyone who believes, who receives Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,
His obedience now covers us,
His sacrifice now covers us.
Now we are free, free from the death sentence, free from eternal suffering, free from living away from our King, God-our Father- Himself.
But this story, Esther, also represents all people who are looking to be saved, looking to know God, to be saved from eternal death.
So all people are Esther, all those who want to have eternal life with God.
All people who want to live forever.
All people who realize that there is more to this life, than this immediate 120 years.
All people who realize that our Spirits are immortal and have to live on somewhere.
So Jesus also represents the King in the story.
For Jesus is also God.
That all people who come to King Jesus and ask for saving will be saved!!
That King Jesus offers everyone and anyone His gift of eternal life.
That our immortal spirits—for those who come to Jesus Christ, the King—will enter under His protection.
That our immortal spirits—for those who come to Jesus Christ, the King—will be saved from eternal suffering.
That our immortal spirits-for those who come to Jesus Christ, the King—will have the enemy of our souls removed from our lives.
Now Esther in this story is the King’s wife.
Because God, Jesus, want us to know how loved we are by Him.
That He see us with as much love and concern as an intimate spouse.
That in this love, we all can come and make petition for ourselves to be saved.
That in this love, we can ask for all those we are connected to us in this life to be saved too.
That in this love that everyone who comes to Him and asks will be saved, us and our people.
May we know that we know that we know everything written in the Bible, every example, every story, every word, is that we would see the way to find eternal life, that we would make our way back to God our Father, that we would come to our Savior Jesus Christ and be saved.
May we know that we know that we know everyone who receives what Jesus paid to give us, will be saved from the enemy of our souls.
May we know that we know that we know that everyone who comes to Jesus, who asks for saving will be saved.
May we know that we know that we know the power we have in coming to Jesus the King who loves us all people madly and deeply and ask for all the Jewish people and for all our people in this life, that they be saved too, knowing God will hear and grant this request!!!.
