Jesus, Light, Diwali

Those Who Live in the Forever Light From Above!
Those Who Will Dwell in the House of the Lord Forever!

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27: 1

Recently, I was given the opportunity to discuss with a hindu friend about her faith.
She told me the story of diwali.
That a prince of the world has his bride stolen by a demon.
That he comes down south to kill the demon and take his bride back.
It’s a story of light over darkness.
That the good triumphs over evil.

And I said, my friend, that is the story of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the World.
That He came down from Heaven to rescue His bride, the people of God, from the devil, the enemy of our souls.

That through Jesus’s sacrificial death on the cross, He pays for our debt to be set free, from this demon, the devil.
That Jesus brings the light of the truth of who He is, who God is, to the world.
The truth that Jesus Christ came to save all people, to buy us back from a demon, the devil.
His Light of truth over the darkness, the backwards ways that the devil brought to mankind.
Jesus His actions, 2000 years ago did this and does this today.

And that everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord, becomes His bride, His people, His family.
That in accepting Jesus Christ as Lord, we receive His Holy Spirit to live inside us.
That connects us, makes us one with Jesus Christ.
Which is exactly what happens in marriage, two people becoming one.
That the story of Diwali, is the story of the One True Savior of the World, Jesus Christ.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus is the Light of the World, we never need to fear.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus Christ defeated the devil and took back His bride.

May we know that we know that we know anyone can now accept this offering to be His forever, forever connected, intertwined with the One True God, the Light of the World, who brings eternal salvation entering us into our forever home, the Kingdom of God.
