Joy, Joy, and More

Those Who Live in Complete Joy!
Those Who Become Less As Jesus Becomes Greater Inside Us!!

The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for Him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. John 3: 29

John the Baptist is testifying of Jesus Christ, to his (John’s) disciples.
He is explaining who Jesus is.
He is explaining his role in comparison with Jesus.
That Jesus is the Messiah.
That Jesus is the Savior of the World.
That Jesus is the bridegroom that offers all people, all of humanity, marriage, unity to God, a forever unified bond of peace with our Maker.

And John is letting his disciples know that Jesus’s presence should bring them joy.
For the Jews, for the Israelites had been waiting, looking, watching for this moment to come to pass.
That hearing that Jesus is near should bring them joy.
That hearing what Jesus says, should bring them joy.

That they should have joy just hearing Jesus’s voice.
That just hearing Jesus’s voice, meant God was present.
That just hearing Jesus’s voice, meant God cared and was active in their daily lives.
That just hearing Jesus’s voice, meant that God is faithful to fulfill His promises.
That just hearing Jesus’s voice, meant that everything was going to change for the better.
That just hearing Jesus’s voice, meant that there can be another solution for all the troubles they had.
For Jesus had come to fulfill their long-awaited promise of an Eternal King in the line of David that would save them forever.

And this wisdom about hearing Jesus, applies to all of humanity, too.
That we should have joy hearing Jesus’s voice.
Because what He offered them, He offers us.
Because He left us His words, to devour daily and nightly.
Because He left us His words, that we hear His voice.
Because He left us His words, that we hear His heart.
Because He left us His words, that we hear His love, His wisdom, His truth that sets us free.
Because He left us His words, that we have this forever feast of joy.
Because He left us His words, that we would also be reconnected, rejoined, reunited in love, in redemption, in forgiveness, made forever family, to our Father in Heaven, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Ancient of Days, The God of All Wisdom, The One and Only True God that has power over all things, all circumstances, seen and unseen, temporary and permanent, the power over life and death, that we would live in This Joy.

May we know that we know that we know the power in listening to Jesus and the joy that it brings.

May we know that we know that we know that Jesus showed us the way to receive This Joy, This Eternal Joy, by believing in Him and receiving his sacrifice on the cross, that we have this eternal joy.

May we know that we know that we know the more we hear Jesus’s words, the more joy we are filed with here and now.
