Just As He Had Done Before
Those Who Won’t Be Hurt By The Lions!
Those Who Will Be Found Innocent in His Sight!
Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he has done before. Daniel 6: 10
Just as he had done before.
A decree was published that they weren’t allow to pray to God.
So then Daniel went and prayed to God about the situation.
He kept the course.
He didn’t panic.
He just did what He always did.
Cry out to the Only One who could solve this dilemma.
He didn’t give up his relationship with the Maker of Heaven and Earth, though someone tried to make him.
He kept on being faithful crying out to the Only One Who Could Fight this battle for him.
We are all called to obey God over people.
And as the times grow more like the pagan world that Daniel lived in, we are all going to have times, where we have to decide.
Will we follow Jesus
Or will we bow down to culture.
Will we follow Jesus
or will we bow down to the enemy.
God used this experience with Daniel to show the people in that generation, those for Daniel and those against Daniel, that our God, the Only God, protects His people, saves His people.
For we are His.
And He is our Father.
Daniel is one of the examples in the Bible for us to know that as we seek to obey God over fads or even evil attacks against our faith, we can know that what He did for Daniel, He will do for us.
That when we get challenges against our faith walk, against our relationship with the One Who Commands the Winds and the Waves, the One Who Speaks and Mountains tremble, the One Who made mankind from dust particles, the One Who created the enemy and the One the Enemy Has to Obey, that He can override any accusations, any troubles, any den of lions, that come against us.
May we know that we know that we know we don't have to fight these battles, that we just keep following Him and He will make a way through for us.
May we know that we know that we know we are called to obey the Creator of Heaven and Earth over all people and plans and when we do, He will protect us, bless us, and even like Daniel promote us through this trouble.
