A Promise Is a Promise

Those Who Learn He Is Good To All And Has Compassion On All He Has Made!!
Those Who Find He Is Trustworthy In All His Promises And Faithful In All He Does!!

When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God, Sovereign Lord, they said, you made the Heaven and the Earth and the sea and everything in them. Acts 4: 24

I have been seeking to lead my colleagues to Jesus for years.
In January, I even walked around my workplace 7 times.
It was the coldest snow day, where the freeways had been shut down.
It was the last day of my prayer and fasting for January.
And I was determined to end that season in purpose.
Jesus had given me a word that morning from Isaiah.
That He had heard my prayers and seen my tears.
And He promised to deliver me and this city, my place, from the king of assyria.

I knew with absolute confidence that the Lord had given me this place for Him.
That I had all these wonderful people praying with me.
Sending me text prayers that I read out as I walked.
It was such a powerful time.
I felt so much joy.
I was walking in victory knowing this was a done deal.
That my colleagues would receive Jesus as Lord.

Since then I have seen so many changes.
People leaving the university.
People being called away.
Shifting and changes all throughout my work life.
Some really close people starting to go through trials, that pulled them away.

While writing on the book of Revelations this semester, I ‘ve learned so much about the process we go through getting saved.
That we hear the truth.
That God starts to move in our hearts, move us toward Him, His ways.
Then we start to act in obedience.
Then we will speak out faith.

Last night, at Bible study, we all prayed together for my people.
Because I was discouraged, thinking Lord, I was expecting these people to openly claim their faith to me.
I was expecting them to become closer to me.
That I would get to have conversations with them about it.
So I had people rending the Heavens with me, about it.
Feeling so empowered again.
Just like the Apostles, here, praying in unity.
Jesus answering them boldly, swiftly.

Then I remembered this January.
That this is done deal!!
The love, the unity, the promise.

Having learned that salvation is a process with the Lord.
That He is bringing it to pass.
And that maybe these moves, these shifts, are all part of the process for their salvation.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus wants our people saved more than we do.

May we know that we know that we know where two agree it shall be done.

May we know that we know that we know He who promised is faithful and will bring all our promises to pass.
