New Beginnings In The Dark

Those Who Know The Plans He Has For Us Are Good, Not Evil!!
Those Being Led By the Lord Into Their Promised Land!!

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1: 1-2

God spoke to me the other night.
He gave me a word of encouragement.

I wasn’t sad.
I wasn’t in some deep hole in my life.
Yet He came to me and spoke a word.
A word over my future.

I would like to say that it filled with me with such joy.
But it wasn’t what I felt or was added, it was the lack of every other sense, lack of sensory things happening that made me realize it was God speaking.
It’s like time stops.
No noise.
No lights.
No accents.
Everything around me is there but not.
And all I can hear is Him.
His voice filling every particle.
Clear strong.
Calm.
Just a fact.
A truth.
Just His words
Just what He wants me to hear.
Nothing else interfering.
Like every particle where I am is filled with His voice.

And I realized that every time He does this, it marks a new season in my life.
That He came to start a new season in my life!

It reminded me of the Never-ending Story as a kid.
When the land has been destroyed and they are starting over, the little girl says to the boy, in the beginning it’s always dark.

And I thought YES.

It was dark when God spoke to me.
It was dark when the Apostles went to the tomb to find that Jesus’s body was gone.
It was dark when God created the world.

That there are times in our lives when things seem dark, literally or emotionally.
That we go through seasons of lacking’s, or losing of things or people, a dark season.
But God starts His plans in dark places.

May we know that we know that we know if it is dark in our lives right now, that we open our ears and our heart, for He is speaking to us of our new seasons, of our new beginnings.
