In The Firelight

Apostles of the Lord That Will Strengthen Those Around Us!
Those Who’s Faith Will Not Fail!!!

A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, This man was with him. Luke 22: 56

Peter was sitting in the light of a fire.
Fire in the Bible, refines.
Firelight illuminates us.
Firelight shows us what things about ourselves that God wants us to know.

Peter was going through a furnace.
Peter was being refined.
Peter was getting to learn about himself.
Peter was getting to learn about fear and how much it was harming him.
But this was all for Peter’s good.
And this was all for the good of everyone who would follow.

Because in seeing himself, and his human weakness,
He got to see just how wonderful and powerful the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, was and is, when He received Him.
Because Peter becomes a man who stands up against leaders who imprison him and threaten him and beat and flog him.
And yet Peter never denies Christ again.

And we, all who read this story, get to see the transformation of Peter who was previously bound by fear, terrified to be associated with Jesus on the night of Jesus’s trial, become the leader of the Apostles, fearless, boldly proclaiming Christ in the face of grave danger every day for the rest of his life.

May we know that we know that we know if we are being seen by the firelight, it’s just an opportunity to see how God is going to transform us in the next season of our lives.

May we know that we know that we know that just like Peter as we walk with Jesus Christ’s Spirit inside us, we will have a redemption season too, that completely reverses what was revealed before.

May we know that we know that we know the firelight, our seasons of furnaces, are just tools to reveal a new season that God has for us.
