No Lacking Father

Those Who Hear God Show Up Say, You Are Always With Me and Everything I Have Is Yours!
Children Living in the Shameless Audacity Overflow of Their Father of Love!

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1: 27

My father passed in 2021.
And until then I had never realized how much people lost internally.
It increased my daily action to take care of widows and orphans at the church as much as possible.
Because I realized how much I lost when my Dad died.
Not just in relationship but the changes that occurred with my whole family structure.
How he had been keeping all of us deeply tethered to Jesus.

So for all of us who have lost a parent, or a loved one, I want to share what God has shown me:

He told us in Matthew 23 that we are not to call anyone on earth Father, except Him.
That He is our Father, our provider, our caretaker, our Dad.
That now He is the one who is going to scoop us up in His arms when we fall down and hold us until we stop crying.

That now He is the one that is One walking with us, talking with us, leading the way into unknown territories saying it’s going to be okay.
For He made the land, the trees, the world and knows the future, the very one He is leading us into.

That He is the one that says I am going to provide you, shelter, that I will provide your food, that I will bring you what you need, don’t worry.
That now it comes directly from our Perfect Father in Heaven to us, His endless supply that can never be exhausted.

That He promised us Him, His presence, His love, His Peace, His Spirit to live inside us, that we would never be alone, that we never lack.
That Luke 11, He promised that we could have as much as of Him as we wanted, any day or night, His wisdom, His love, His peace, His comfort, the limit being on how much or little we ask.

So while we are all supposed to take care of widows and orphans, showing our God’s heart of love for the lonely, we can have these promises too.
That no matter who is around us or not, that He is ever present, ever available, ever caretaking, our boundless, limitless Father.

May we know that we know that we know that anyone who has lost someone, that God’s heart is for them.

May we know that we know that we know that that while we have lost in the natural, God Himself promises that He—the Maker of Heaven and Earth and Mankind—will show up and fill this lack with His over abounding overflow of Love and provision, anything and everything we lost and more.

May we know that we know that we know God was always providing for us before, it’s just now we get to see this ever so much more closely than we ever did before, growing our heart of love for Him and increasing our joy in knowing we are going to be able to spend eternity with Him.
