Those Who Ask and Receive!
Those Who Receive More Than They Can Imagine!
Now Joseph gave these instructions to the steward of the house. Fill the men’s sacks with as much food as they can carry and put each man’s silver in the mouth of his sack. Genesis 44: 1
Each time Joseph’s brothers came to buy food, during the famine, Joseph had their money put back in their sack.
Joseph is the allegory of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.
Jesus who died for us.
Jesus who gives us the life-giving bread from Heaven.
Because by believing in Jesus Christ we receive the Holy Spirit.
This is God’s very Spirit, to live inside us, giving us the life, the eternal life now, that we will never really die, but live forever in eternity with God.
That now our Spirits are immortal, eternal filled with the life-giving seed from Jesus Christ.
And this story of Joseph shows us, that we cannot buy it.
That this gift of life, this seed of eternity, the immortal life inside us, is a gift from our Savior, Jesus Christ.
We cannot pay for it.
We cannot earn it.
It just given to us when we ask.
When we come to the Lord and ask Him to save us.
Then He does, and He does it for free.
His brothers came to him twice.
So God is saying that we can come to Him and receive as much as we can carry of Him, His Spirit, His life, the Holy Spirit.
May we know that we know that we know salvation, God’s seed of love that gives us life, the Holy Spirit, is a free gift, that is given when we ask.
